Minutes/Edina City Councioanuary 16, 2007 <br /> Ms. Forrest said the League of Women Voters position statement stated their suggestions <br /> that, 1) codified uniform term limits for all appointed Boards/Commissions/Committees, 2) <br /> term limits were consistent and included in the City Code, 3) appointment reflect the <br /> demographics of the City, 4) accurate, accessible and timely publication of purpose of Boards, <br /> and vacancies and application appointment process, 5) accurate, consistent, accessible and <br /> timely publication of Boards member names, term dates and contact information, 6) City staff <br /> liaison names and contact information, and 7) Board meeting notices, agendas and minutes. <br /> Mr. Hughes reminded the Council a calendar had been provided them with a date set for a <br /> Study Session on February 27, 2007, from 11:30 - 1:30 P.M. to consider the suggestions on <br /> Boards from the Edina League of Women Voters. <br /> No formal Council action was taken. <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2007-10 APPROVED - REQUESTING THREE RIVERS PARK <br /> DISTRICT ASSISTANCE DEVELOPING NORTWSOUTH TRAIL CORRIDOR Mr. <br /> Hughes stated Steve Rusk, Chair of the Bike Edina Task Force had asked the Council adopt a <br /> Resolution requesting the Three Rivers Park District assist the City and surrounding <br /> communities in developing a north/south trail corridor. <br /> Member Swenson introduced Resolution No. 2007-10 requesting the Three Rivers Park <br /> Rivers Park District assistance in developing a north/south trail corridor and moved its <br /> adoption. Member Bennett seconded the motion. <br /> Ayes: Bennett, Masica, Swenson, Hovland <br /> Motion carried. <br /> x'2007 COUNCIL STUDY SESSION DATES SET Motion made by Member Masica and <br /> seconded by Member Swenson setting the fourth Tuesday each month between 11:30 a.m. <br /> and 1:30 p.m. as Study Session dates for 2007 as follows: <br /> January 23, 2007 August 28, 2007 <br /> February 27, 2007 September 25, 2007 <br /> March 27, 2007 October 23, 2007 <br /> April 24, 2007 November 27, 2007 <br /> May 22, 2007 December 26, 2007 - Christmas Day was <br /> June 26, 2007 the fourth Tuesday <br /> July 24, 2007 <br /> Motion carried on rollcall vote - four ayes. <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2007-11 ACCEPTING VARIOUS DONATIONS Mayor Hovland <br /> explained in order to comply with State Statutes all donations to the City must be adopted by <br /> Resolution and approved by four favorable votes of the council accepting the donations. <br /> Member Swenson introduced Resolution No. 2007-11 and moved its adoption.
