He said he was recommending Sarah Ratner to fill the vacancy. <br /> Mayor Hovland made a motion, seconded by Member Housh to appoint Sarah Ratner to a <br /> position on the Edina Human Rights and Relations Commission to a term expiring <br /> February 1,2010. <br /> Ayes: Bennett, Housh, Masica, Swenson, Hovland <br /> Motion carried. <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 200749 - ACCEPTING VARIOUS DONATIONS Mayor Hovland <br /> explained in order to comply with State Statutes, all donations to the City must be adopted <br /> by Resolution and approved by four favorable votes of the Council accepting the donations. <br /> Member Bennett introduced Resolution No. 200749, accepting various donations, and <br /> moved approval. Member Swenson seconded the motion. <br /> Ayes: Bennett, Housh, Masica,Swenson, Hovland <br /> Motion carried. <br /> *ADOPTED RESOLUTION NO. 2007-52 DESIGNATING A PORTION OF WEST 70TH <br /> STREET "NO PARKING" Motion made by Member Masica and seconded by Member <br /> Swenson adopting Resolution No. 2007-50 designating West 70th Street between France <br /> and York Avenue as "No Parking". <br /> Motion carried on rollcall vote -five ayes. <br /> *CONFIRMATION OF CLAIMS PAID Motion made by Member Masica and seconded by <br /> Member Swenson approving payment of the following claims as shown in detail on the <br /> Check Register dated April 4, 2007, and consisting of 28 pages: General Fund $267,915.21; <br /> Communications Fund $6,533.62; City Hall Debt Service $900.00; Working Capital Fund <br /> Page 2 <br />
