The City Planner and the Heritage Preservation Board may issue certificates of <br /> appropriateness for work projects submitted voluntarily by owners of heritage resources. <br /> F. To assure compliance with the goals and policies of the comprehensive heritage <br /> preservation plan, the Heritage Preservation Board shall review every application for a <br /> preliminary plat, conditional use permit, variance, or rezoning in relation to a designated <br /> heritage landmark; and the City Planning Commission shall give the Heritage Preservation <br /> Board a reasonable opportunity to comment on such projects before making its <br /> recommendation to the Council. " <br /> Suggestions included possible designation of the seven model homes in the district, additional <br /> monitoring during significant construction projects to ensure that the Certificates of Appropriateness <br /> have been followed, establishing fees for inspections related to heritage preservation; clarification of <br /> existing rules, and designing a process to further monitor the district. No formal action was taken, <br /> but staff will work with the Heritage Preservation Board to develop recommendations to achieve the <br /> desired outcomes for Heritage Preservation in Edina. <br /> This being the only item on the Special Council Agenda, the Mayor adjourned the meeting at 6:55 p.m. <br /> 0 /1 AI .'n'9Y <br /> Debra A.
