FOR <br />H.M.MJJ3LLER EQUIPT. - - $182,100.00 $185,303.00 <br />TART-IDE EQUIPT. $217,956.00 - - $189,200 .OO <br />A" .WATER SOFTENIgG <br />WATERITE EQUIPT. - - - $163,966.00 <br />EQUIPT . - - $187,600 .OO - <br />LESS: ALTERNATE FOR REHOVAL <br />OF TOILET FACILITIES AT <br />PLANT NO. 1 $ 3,800.00 $ 2,535.00 $ 3,000.00 $ 4,237.00 <br />Beim's mtion, for delay of award of contract until the October 24th Meeting, <br />was seconded by Dickson and carried. <br />COUNCIL AWARDS CONTRACT FOR WATERMAIN AND STORN SEWER FOR IRON R.EMOVAL PLANTS. <br />Manager presented Tabulation of Bids taken Friday, shoving receipt of six bids. <br />Northern Contracting Company is low bidder, at $30,658.50; Barbarossa 6r Sons, <br />Inc., second low, at $34,110.00; Mnn-Kota Developers, Inc., third low, at <br />$34,342.00; Coburn and Ileek, fourth low, at $38,790.00; Lametti & Sons, Inc., <br />fifth low at $39,974.00; and Phelps-Drake Co., Inc., high bidder at $41,392.00. <br />Stating he feels that the bids received for the Iron Removal Plants are <br />sufficiently good so that there shouldn't be much question about an award, <br />Nr. Hyde recommended award, tonight, of the Watermain-Storm Sewer Contract to <br />the 1077 bidder, Northern Contracting Company, and Beim so moved. <br />seconded by Dickson and carried. <br />Motion <br />PUBLIC HEAXING ON PROPOSED OIL STABILIZED BASE IN RICHWOOD DRIVE; SHERWOOD RD. <br />IIOOD DRIVE. <br />and October 6, 1960, of "Notice of Public Hearing" was presented by Clerk, <br />approved as to form and ordered placed on file. Pursuant to notice, Public <br />Hearing was conducted on the above entitled project. Estimate of Cost was <br />read as $4,389.00, proposed to be assessed against 5,671.3 Assessable Feet, <br />for $.77 per Assessable Foot. <br />beining initiated pursuant to a substantial petition filed after completion of <br />Sanitary Sewer; that this job is a repeat of the project in the street before <br />sewer construction; that no assessment was either estimated or made for street <br />reconditioning in the sewer project. He told Council that Engineer recommends <br />Concrete Curb and Gutter and Bituminous Surface Treatment for this street; that, <br />if the Oil Stabilized Base is constructed it should be with the understanding <br />that if and when the street requires above-normal maintenance the Village will <br />initiate proceedings to have permanent surfacing installed. Nr. Desmond Pratt, <br />5241 Richwood Drive, pointed out that there is little traffic in this area; and <br />that the street held for five years with the stabilized base coat.
