3/26/62 .. 58 <br />Ordinance, moving that Council dispense with second reading thereof and adopt <br />Ordinance as submitted: <br />ORDINANCE NO, 261-66 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO, 261 <br />(ZONING ORDINANCE) OF THE VILLAGE OF EDINA, <br />ESTABLISHING ADDITIONAL MULTIPLE RESIDENCE <br />DISTRICT <br />THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF EDINA, MINNESOTA, ORDAINS: <br />of the Revised Ordinances of the Village of Edina, as amended is hereby further <br />amended by adding at the end of paragraph 1 of said Section 4 an'additional sub- <br />paragraph as follows: <br />Section 1, Section 4, Multiple Residence District, of Ordinance No, 261 <br />-- <br />"(m) Lot 2, Block 1, Clifton Terrace," <br />Sec. 2, <br />and publication, <br />Motion for waiver of second reading and adoption of Ordinance as submitted was <br />seconded by Tupa, and on Rollcall there were four ayes and no nays, as follows: <br />This Ordinance shall be in effect immediately upon its passage <br />nce was adopted, <br />&'WARDEN ACRES, LOT 49 REPLAT" LOT WIDTH VARIANCE APPROVED. Pursuant to <br />Notice of Hearing, mailed to affected property owners, as peri ffidavit of Mailing <br />presented by Planning Director Hite, Public Hearing was conducted on the petition <br />for permit to plat two lots having 74,75-foot width, rather than the 75-foot <br />minimum prescribed by Zoning Ordinance, <br />Hearing, and none had been received prior thereto, and MacMillan moved that <br />the lot width variance be approved, <br />carried. <br />No objections were registered at the <br />Motion seconded by Tupa and unanimously <br />/COUNCIL APPROVES SIDE-YARD VARIANCE AT 5505 KELLOGG AVE. Planning Director Hite <br />presented Affidavit of Mailing to affected property owners "Notice of Hearing" on <br />petition of Mr. James VanValkenburg for a variance from the side-yard requirements <br />of the Zoning Ordinance, to permit him to construct a.garage within three feet <br />of his south lot line at 5505 Kellogg Avenue, <br />ordered placed on file, <br />petition, Mr, Hite explained that petition has been tendered because Mr. <br />VanValkenburg wishes to save a large tree in his back yard; that Planning <br />Commission has approved the request providing there be no less than ten feet <br />between Mr, VanValkenburg's garahe and the garage on the lot to the south-which <br />is feasible,' No objections were presented at the Hearing, and none had been <br />received prior thereto, Tupa's motion that petition be granted was seconded <br />by MacMillan and carried, with VanValkenburg not voting. <br />Notice was approved as to form and <br />Pursuant 'to Notice, Public Hearing was conducted on <br />PROTEST REGISTERED AGAINST ASSESSMENTS FOR LOTS 25, 26 AND 27, NORMANDALE THIRD, <br />Mr, Tony Ferrara, representing Standard Heating Company, which he stated owns 20 <br />lots in Normandale Third Addition, protested 'assessments levied this last year <br />for Sanitary Sewer No, 159, on Lots 25, 26 and 27, <br />these lots are in the path of the Crosstown Highway, permits to build have been <br />refused; that if Lots are not buildable, they should not be assessed. <br />was asked to call Manager Hyde later in the week, for further discussion on this <br />matter , <br />He told Council that because <br />Mr. Ferrara <br />RAUENHORST CONSTRUCTION COMPANY'S REQUEST FOR HOOK-IN WITH BLOOMINGTON SEWER AND <br />WATER FOR USE OF CLUB HOUSE AT NORMANDALE GOLF COURSE TENTATIVELY APPROVED. <br />Representatives of Rauenhorst Construction Company were present to support .their <br />request dated March 20, asking that the Edina Council petition the Bloomington <br />Council for permission for the Company to hook into sanitary sewer and water <br />at Bloomington's facilities near the Control Data building, and then run said <br />utilities to the Normandale Golf Course Club House; and also to use said facilities <br />in the operation and function of the Club House. <br />action requested, and Tupa moved for approval of request by Edina to Bloomington, <br />subject to clearance with Engineering Department , <br />and carried, <br />Manager Hyde recommended the <br />Motion seconded by VanValkenburg
