<br />presented the request of Mr. Robert E. Otness for vacation of a variance over the
<br />northeast corner of Lot 2, Block 2, Dreher's First Addition.
<br />offered the following resolution as recommended by Mr. Hite and moved its adoption:
<br />=SOLUTION VACATING UTILITY AND DRAINAGE EASEMENT
<br />WHEREAS, two weeks' published, posted and mailed notice of a Hearing to be held on
<br />March 4, 1968, and which was continued to March 6, 1968, at 7:OO p.m. on the pro-
<br />posed vacation of the utility and drainage easement hereinafter. described has been
<br />given and made and a Hearing has been held thereon by the Village Council;
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Village Council of the Village of Edina,
<br />Hennepin County, Minnesota, that the following described utility and drainage ease-
<br />ment in Lot 2, Block 2, Dreher's First Addition, as shown on the recorded plat
<br />thereof, Hennepin County, Minnesota, be and is hereby vacated effective April 2,
<br />14368, unless on or before said date this resolution is amended, annulled or rescin-

<br />AERIAL LADDER FIRE TRUCK TO BE REBID.
<br />on February 1, 1968, were presented and ordered placed on file.. Mr. Hyde presented
<br />tabulation of bids taken for one 100 foot aerial ladder fire truck which showed
<br />American LaFrance low bidder at $50,750.00, and Seagrave Fire Apparatus, Inc. high
<br />bidder at $51,040.00 for a four wheel unit. Seagrave Fire Apparatus, Inc. was low
<br />bidder at $52,780.50 for a six wheel tractor trailer against bid of American La
<br />France of $53,995.00. Because the bidders did not meet required specifications,
<br />Councilman Shaw's motion to reject these bids and readvertise with rear-end steer-: .
