Chair and Member Comments <br />Commissioner Olson was contacted by Robert Have about his traffic safety request from the September 19, <br />2019 meeting and he was wondering if there had been a resolution. <br /> <br />Commisioner Johnson stated that a resident asked about adding a roundabout at Vernon & Hansen and <br />what would need to happen to make that a reality. <br /> <br />Commissioner Ahler said that the Morningside Neighborhood is circulating a petition for a crosswalk on <br />France Avenue at W 42nd Street. <br /> <br />Commissioner Richman shared an article about a group of cyclists that traveled to Minneapolis from <br />Pennnyslvania to learn more about how the City of Minneapolis was able to incorporate their bike-friendly <br />infrastructure so quickly. She also wondered how Edina could become more bike-friendly sooner rather <br />than later. <br /> <br />VIII. Staff Comments <br />• Metro Transit is recommending the France Avenue alignment for the E-Line bus rapid <br />transit (BRT) service. The Metropolitan Council will consider adopting this <br />recommendation in January 2020. <br />• Wooddale and Valley View traffic signal is up and running. <br />• Grandview/Melody Lake Neighborhood Roadway Reconstruction is postponed until <br />2021. <br />• City Council Comprehensive Plan Public Hearing will be December 3, 2019. <br />• Tara Brown has requested comments to the Pollution Control Agency on greenhouse <br />gas emmissions and the possibility of Minnesota adopting the standards of California; <br />comments are due December 6th, 2019. <br /> <br />IX.
