MINUTES <br /> OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE <br /> EDINA CITY COUNCIL <br /> HELD AT CITY HALL <br /> JULY 18, 2006 <br /> 7:00 P.M. <br /> ROLLCALL Answering rollcall were Members Housh, Hulbert, Masica, Swenson and Mayor <br /> Hovland. <br /> CONSENT AGENDA ITEMS APPROVED Motion made by Member Swenson and <br /> seconded by Member Hulbert approving the Council Consent Agenda as presented. <br /> Rollcall: <br /> Ayes: Housh, Hulbert, Masica, Swenson, Hovland <br /> Motion carried. <br /> *MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE EDINA CITY COUNCIL FOR JULY <br /> 5, 2006, AND SPECIAL MEETING OF JULY 5, 2006, APPROVED Motion made by <br /> Member Swenson and seconded by Member Hulbert approving the Minutes of the <br /> Regular Meeting of the Edina City Council for July 5, 2006, and Special Meeting of July 5, <br /> 2006. <br /> Motion carried on rollcall vote. <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 850-A-29 ADOPTED APPROVING FINAL REZONING, AND <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2006-75 ADOPTED GRANTING: CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT, <br /> FINAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN AND AMENDMENT TO THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN <br /> - EDINA GATEWAY, LLC, 4930 WEST 77TH STREET Affidavits of Notice were presented, <br /> approved and ordered placed on file. <br /> Planning Presentation <br /> Interim Planner Cornejo stated the applicant Edina Gateway LLC was seeking Final <br /> Rezoning, a Conditional Use Permit, and Amendment to the Comprehensive Plan and Final <br /> Development Plan for their property located at 4930 West 77th Street. Mr. Cornejo said the <br /> applicant planned to redevelop the property with a four-story building housing retail at <br /> grade with three floors of condominium units above the retail floor. He noted the Council <br /> had granted preliminary approval at their May 2, 2006, meeting. <br /> Mr. Cornejo said the Planning Commission at their June 28, 2006, meeting, recommended the <br /> Council grant Final Rezoning, Conditional Use Permit, and Final Development Plan <br /> including setback variances from Highway 100 and West 7701 Street, and a Comprehensive <br /> Plan Amendment with eight conditions: <br /> 1. Setback variances from Highway 100 and West 77th Street with final site plan <br /> adjustments regarding parking space sizes subject to approval by City of Edina <br /> Planning and Engineering Departments; <br /> 2. Proof of Parking Variance; <br /> 3. No drive-through facility any place on the site; <br /> 4. Watershed District Permits; <br /> Page 1 <br />
