25 <br />ESinutes of the recessed portion <br />of the regular December 8, 1941 <br />meeting of the Council of the <br />Village of Edina, duly held in <br />Grange Hall on December 15, 1941 <br />at 8:OO orclock 2. E. <br />The meeting was called to order By the President, the roll called <br />and all members of the Council vere present. <br />Trustee 'Jlillson reported on tabulation of bids received December <br />8, 1941, for catch basins covers and manhole rings and covers, <br />He moved the award be made to American Brake Shoe and Poundry <br />Company, lowest bidder, @ $16 each for manhole rings and covers <br />and <br />delivered f.0.b. job site, seconded by Moore and carried. <br />Trustee Ylillson moved to accept the l~m bid of ElkRiver Concrete <br />Products Company, on 840 lineal feet 24" reinforced concrete pipe <br />0 ,;1.68 per lineal foot, deliTered f.o.b, job site, seconded by <br />Noore and carried, <br />$17 each for curb type catch basins complete mith 2%" tops 9 <br />Trustee ilillson aoved the H, V. Johnson Culvert Company be awarded <br />order for 200 feet 30It pure iron , 14 gauge, double dipped bit- <br />u..inous coated corrugated culvert @ $3.30 per foot and 8 connectin& <br />bands 0 ,$4.95 each, and checks of unsuccessful bidders returned, <br />seconded by Irgens and carried. <br />Village Attorney Holten presented letter of Empire Bationat Bank <br />and Trust Company, St. Paul, Einnesota, dated December 12, 1921, <br />enclosing assignment of Ulderico Xariani of monies due on <br />account 0% construction of sanitary sewers in District Eo. 9, <br />after consideration of the letter, Irgens offered the following <br />resolution and moved its adoption, <br />'YYJB3REAS, The Village Attorney submitted to the Council assignment <br />of the moneys due under contract between the Village of Edina and <br />Ulderico Nariani, dated September 18, 1941, for construction of <br />sewer in Sewer Bistrict Bo. 9, said assignment running to Empire <br />Fational Bank and Trust Company of St. Paul; whereupon Trustee <br />Irgens offered the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLVXD, that the assignment aforesaid be and hereby is accepted, <br />and the Village hereby acknowledges that there is due upon said <br />contract the surn of 814,589.21, as of December 15, 1941, payable <br />solely out of special assessments levied against benefited property <br />within said district . <br />The motion to adopt mas seconded by Trustee Willson and the vote <br />was upon the question of the adoption of the resolutiorl, wherein <br />there nere five ayes and no nays and so the resolution was <br />declared adopted. <br />President of Council <br />" Village Clerk <br />Application of Uinneapolis Gas Light Company for permission to <br />lay 100 feet 4" gas main in and along Ninnehaha Blvd, 100 feet <br />South of South line 'Zest 52nd Street, was on motion Eoore, be <br />granted, seconded by Irgens and carried. <br />Eo further business to come before the Council the President <br />declared the meeting recessed to meet again at the same time and <br />place at the call of the President. <br />. <br />Village Recorder
