<br />asked that the Minutes be corrected as to the Clerk's record of a statement made
<br />by him relative to STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENT NO. 70 (recorded on Page 109, Book 25,
<br />under paragraph entitled "AWARD OF BIDS ON STORM SEWER FOR BROOKSIDE-RUTLEDGE-
<br />VANDERVORK-W. 48TH STREET AREA---", recorded as "Public Works Director Gans pointed
<br />out that, right now, with Minnehaha Creek in te'mporary flood stage, no storm sewer
<br />could actually empty water into the Creek". He requested that record be changed to
<br />read, "Public Works Director Gans pointed out that, right now, with Minnehaha Creek
<br />in temporary flood stage, no storm sewer could'actually empty water into the Creek,
<br />but instead would be flowing into the flood-plane of the creek.

<br />NEEDED BY EDINA ON WAYS AND MEANS OF SERVING AREA.
<br />Hopkins does have the facilities to serve the area West of Interlachen Country Club
<br />and North of Maloney Avenue with water from its East-FFest main on the North Edina
<br />Boundary, He added that an informal poll of residents ih the area has been taken
<br />as to the desire of the residents fop water.

<br />Saying that offhand it would seem that the most practical solution would be the'
<br />installation of one master maSter meter, with wholesale sale of water from
<br />Hopkins to Edina from this one meter, Mr. Hyde said that after some consideration
<br />of the area, it might be well to install several meters to save duplication of
<br />mains--that this is just one of the engineering problems which needs further
<br />the charges Hopkins will make, and do some preliminary engineering relative to
<br />costs of the mains for service to the area.

<br />with Manager's recommendations, and to present report to Council as soon as possible.

<br />Estimate of Cost was given as $4,929.37, for $8.46 per Assessable Foot.
<br />reported that the petition was for Curb and Gutter only, but that the surfacing is
<br />in poor condition and was done in 1947 at an assessable cost of $1.39 per foot; that
<br />it should be replaced. No objections were offered at the Hearing, and none had been
<br />received prior thereto. Mr. G, E. Morse, 460Q Lakeview Drive, and Mr. L,C, Gehring,
<br />4511 Golf Terrace, both spoke in favor of the entire improvement, Mr. Gehring adding
<br />he hopes considerition has been given to lowering St.Johns so that he does not get
<br />water into his garage.
