<br />EDINA VILLAGE COUNCIL HELD AT THE VILLAGE HALL ON
<br />IIONDAY, AUGUST 1, 1966
<br />Members answering Rollcall, were Trustees MacMiUan, Tupa and Mayor Bredesen.
<br />HINUTES of the Regular Neeting of July 18 and of the Board of Review on July 14, 1966,
<br />were approved as submitted by motion of Trustee Tupa, seconded by Trustee MacMillan
<br />and carried, .
<br />"MALIBU DRIVE" STREET NAME CHANGED ..TO "DE VILLE DRIVE.1t Affidavits of Posting and
<br />Mailing on July 19 and of Publication ;in the Edina-Morningside Courier on July 21,
<br />1966, were presented by Clerk, approved as to form and ordwed placed on file by
<br />motion of Trustee NacMillan, seconded by Trustee Tupa and carried.
<br />notice given, public hearing was conducted on the proposed street name change of
<br />"Malibu Drive" to "DeVille Drive,"
<br />change had been approved by the Post Office. No-discussion was offered from the
<br />audience. Trustee MacIdillan thereupon offered the following ordinance and moved
<br />its adoption:

<br />NO. 164 ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE NAMING AND RENAMING
<br />CERTAIN ROADS, STREETS AND AVENUES OF THE VILLAGE
<br />OF EDINA"
<br />THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF EDINA, MINNESOTA, ORDAINS:
<br />' Section 1. Ordinance No. 164 of the Village, as amended, is hereby €urther
<br />l'Section 61. 'Malibu Drive' as the same is of record in the office of
<br />amended by adding after Section 60 the following:
<br />the Register of Deeds of Hennepin County is hereby renamed 'DeVille Drive.'"

<br />I STORM SEWER NO..l03 BIDS HELD,
<br />Edina-Idorningside Courier and Construction Bulletin on July 7, 14 and 21, 1966,
<br />14r. Hite presented tabulation of ten bids for Storm Sewer lmprovement No. 103 which
<br />showed Orfie 8 Sons, Inc., low bidder at $166,151.29; 141. E, Kraft Co., Inc., second
<br />low bidder at $170,910.90; Peter Lametti Construction Co. third low bidder at
<br />$177,390.44; and Randall & Berglin, Inc. , high bidder at $218,446.00. Engineer's
<br />estimate was presented at $212,201.50.
<br />called from Washington, D.C. and had advised him that, based on his conversations
<br />with the Department of Housing and Urban Development, some of this work may be
<br />eligible for federal financial assistance. E4r. Hite explained that federal funds
<br />might pay 50% of the portion classified as "trunk sewer," which means that
<br />approximately $74,000 might be available for this purposer
<br />rate of assessment in the area to 2-1/2$ per square foot rather than 4-1/2$ per
<br />square foot as estimated at public hearing.

<br />RESOLUTION GRANTING AUTHORITY TO VILLAGE MANAGER
<br />TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT
<br />FOR PARTICIPATION IN STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENT NO. 103
<br />I WHEREAS, the Village of Edina has proposed to construc-i: a storm sewer known as
<br />Storm Sewer Improvement No. 103, and
<br />WHEREAS, Federal financial assistance is possibly available under Title VII,
<br />Section 702 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1965 (Public Law 89-117).
<br />which would provide financial relief to property owners in this stom sewer assessment
<br />be authoized to enter into an agreement with the Department of Housing and Urban
<br />Development whweby funds would be granted to the VilLage of Edina to assist in
<br />financing construction of Storm Sewer Improvement No. 103.
