S -1. 1 'I...*' t,' <br />Members answering Rollcall were Trustees Johnson, MacMillan, Tupa and VanValkenburg <br />who served as Mayor Pro Tem in the absence of Mayor Bredesen. <br />MINUTES of the Meeting of August 15, 1966, were accepted with the following <br />corrections: 1) That the entire Sign Ordinance be referred to the Planning <br />Commission, as discussed in the second paragraph of Page 163; and 2) That formal <br />action was taken relative to Board of Review action on 7000 Sandell Avenue, with I four Trustees voting aye and34ayor Bredesen voting Nay, as recorded or! Page 170 of <br />this Minutes Book. 4, <br />PROPOSED BUDGET FOR 1967. PRESENTED.. <br />presentation of the Budget for the succeeding calendar yem be the first order of <br />business at the first meeting in September and presented copies of the 1967 Budget <br />for inspection. <br />Mr. Hyde stated that State law required that the . <br />Bs?ocK_s, EDINA INTERCHANGE CENTER EASEMENT VACATED, <br />and Publication were presented by Clerk, approved as to form and ordered placed on <br />file by motion of Trustee Tupa, seconded by Trustee MacMillan and carried. <br />explained that this is an easement for a storm sewer upon which the Overmyer Building <br />is being constructed. <br />replaced in another location. <br />and moved its adoption: <br />Affidavits of Mailing, Posting <br />Mr. Hite <br />Vacation is recommended inasmuch as the storm sewer has been <br />Trustee Johnson then offered the following resolution <br />RESOLUTION VACATING A PORTION OF DRAINAGE AND UTILITY <br />EASEMENT IN BLOCK 5, EDINA INTERCHANGE CENTER <br />WEEAS, two week's published and posted notice of a Hearing to be held on <br />September 6, 1966, at 7:OO P.M., on the-proposed vacation of the drainage and utility <br />easement hereinafter described has been given and made, and a Hearing Pias3been held <br />thereon by the Village Council; <br />NO\?, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Village Council of the Village of Edina, <br />flennepin County, Minnesota, that the following described portion of the drainage and <br />utility easement in Block 5, Edina Interchange Center, as shown on recorded plat the=- <br />of, Hennepin County, Minnesota, be .and is hereby vacated effective October 6, 1966, . <br />unless on or before said date this Resolution is amended, annulled or rescinded by <br />the Village Council: I All that pa= of the East 10 feet of Lot 8, Block 5, Edina Interchange <br />. Center, except the North 5 feet thereof, all of the triangular easement <br />area in the Northwest corner of Lot 9, Block 5, Edina Interchange <br />Center, except that part thereof lying North of a line 10 feet South <br />of and parallel with the' North line of said Lot 9, and all that <br />part of the West 10 feet of Lot 9, Block 5, Edina Interchange Center, <br />except the North 10 feet thereof, which lies North of a line 10 feet <br />Northwesterly of and parallel to the following described line: <br />Commencing at a point on the North line of said Lot 9, <br />distant 55.0 feet East from the Northwest corner of said <br />Lot 9, as measured along said North line; thence South <br />parallel to the West line of said Lot 9, a distance of <br />268 feet to the actual point of beginning of the line to <br />be described; thence deflecting to the right 60 degrees from <br />the last described course to the West line of the East 10 <br />feet of Lot 8, Block 5, Edina Interchange Center, and there <br />terminating, according to the recorded plat thereof, <br />Motion for adoption of the resolution was 'seconded by Trustee MacMillan and on <br />1 there-were four ayes and no nays an <br />Certificate, of Insurance have been received from Mr. Robert Hansen for a Temporary <br />Mining and Excavation Permit for the area southwest of the Karl Krahl property, <br />Whereupon Trustee Tupa offered the following ordinance for Second Reading and moved <br />its adoption: <br />-
