'Affidavits of <br />Publication in the Edina Sun on July 18 and of Mailing on,July 19, 1968, were <br />presented by Clerk, approved as to' form and ordered placed on file. Pursuant <br />to due notice given, Public Hearings were conducted and action was taken by the <br />Council as hereinafter recorded: <br />1. SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT NO. 250 SPECIAL ASSESSMENT LEVIED. (West 77th <br />Street from Parklawn Avenue to 230' east of Computer Avenue.) <br />Tabulation of Assessment showing total construction cost of $26,600.21, proposed <br />to be assessed against 17 connections at a cost of $1,564.72 per connection. <br />improvement having been authorized on 100% petition, no estimated cost was made. <br />No persons appeared to register objections and none had been received prior thereto. <br />(See resolution Ordering Assessment later in minutes.) <br />2. SANITARY SEWER NO. 258 AND WATERMAIN IMPROVEMENT NO. 219 SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS <br />HEARINGS CONTINUED TO AUGUST 19. <br />#158). Mr. Hyde presented Tabulation of Assessment for Sanitary Sewer No. 258 <br />showing total construction cost of $31,451.19, proposed to be assessed against <br />31 assessable lots at a proposed assessment of $1,014.55 as against estimated <br />assessment of $1,450.89 per assessable lot. <br />main Improvement No. 219 was presented by Mr. Hyde showing total construction <br />cost at $27,149.81, proposed to be assessed at $936.20 against 29 assessable <br />lots as against estimated assessment of $993.53 per assessable lot. Mr. Hyde <br />noted that a letter had been received from Mr. Bert Nygaard, attorney representing <br />Mr. and Mrs. Mathew McPherson, 5817 Olinger Road, indicating that the McPhersons <br />are requesting a fererment on two sewer and water connections until such time, <br />if ever, they would plat their property for the purpose of sale or construction <br />of an additional dwelling. Mr. Hite noted that the property in question has a <br />frontage along Olinger Blvd. of 200 feet which would be adequate for a second <br />home site and for that reason it is recommended that the property be assessed <br />for two assessments. <br />granted or a deed restriction could be placed on the property under which it <br />would be agreed not to subdivide at a future date.
