Members answering rollcall were Councilmen Courtney, Johnson, Shaw, VanValken-' <br />burg and Mayor Bredesen. <br />POLICE DETECTIVE WALTER JOHNSON RECOGNIZED. <br />member of the American Red Cross who was present to award the American Red Cross <br />Certificate of Merit to Police Detective Walter Johnson for an act of outstand- <br />ing bravery in administering mouth to mouth artificial respiration to a child <br />who would undoubtedly have died had it not been for Detective Johnson's quick <br />action. <br />mending him for his outstanding work was seconded by Councilman Courtney and <br />unanimously carried. <br />1971 BUDGET APPROVED. <br />require a'property tax levy of 23.15 mills, compared with a 1970 levy of 28.39 <br />mills.
