NINUTES OF THE &GULAR MEETING OF THE <br />EDINA CITY COUNCIL H~LD AT CITY HALL ON MONDAY, <br />MA? 6, 1974 <br />Answering rollcall were Council members Courtney, Schmidt, Shaw and Mayor Van <br />Valkenburg. <br />MINUTES ok April 1 and 15, 1974, were approved as submitted by motion of Council- <br />man Shaw, seconded*by Councilman Courtney and carried. <br />NATIONAL HOSPITAL WEEK PROCLAIMED. <br />Councilyoman Schmidt and carried author-izing the Mayor to issue the following <br />WHEREAS, May 12-18, 1974, has been designated National Hospitai Week; and <br />IJHEREAS, the theme for National Hospital &ek is "Get to Know Us Before You <br />Need us"; and , <br />Couniilman Courtney's motion was seconded by I Proclamation: .. PROCLAMATION <br />f <br />WEREAS, the City of Edina joins the naiion in kncouraging our citizens to become <br />better informed about our hospitals' seivices and accomplishments, and to lend <br />their support to the achievement of our hospitals' goals; <br />NOT?, THEPaFORE, I, J&ES Vm VALENBURG, as Mayor of the City of Edina, do <br />hereby proclaim May 12-18, 1974, as NATIONAL HOSPITAL WEEK and urge the. citizens <br />of the City of Edina to take cognizance of this event and participate in its <br />observance. <br />ITATERMAIN IMPROVEMENT P-IM-287 HEARING CONTINUED TO JUNE 3, 1974. <br />recalled that.Watermain Improvement P-10-287 improvement hearing had been continued <br />from February 25, 1974. <br />was seconded by Councilwoman Schmidt ana carried continuing the hearing to June <br />3, 1974, so that right-of-way problems can be worked out. <br />Mr. Hyde <br />As recommended by Mr. Dunn, Councilman Courtney's motion <br />ORDINANCE NO. 811-A51 ADOPTED ON SECOND READING. Mr. Luce presented the petition <br />of ?Lewis Engineering Company for Planned Industrial District zoning which zoning <br />would conform to other property in the area and recalled that First Reading had <br />been granted on April 15, 1974. No objections being heard, Councilman Courtney <br />offered the following ordinance and moved its adoption: <br />1 I AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE (NO. 811) <br />BY ADDING TO THE PLANNED INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF EDINA, MINNESOTA, ORDAINS: <br />amended by adding the following thereto: <br />tion of the following property: <br />Section 1. <br />"The extent of the Planned Industrial District is enlarged by the Addi- <br />Paragraph 2 of Section 10 of Ordinance 811 of the City is <br />Lot I, Block 1, Edenmoor Addition.'' <br />Sec. 2.. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its pass- <br />age and publication. <br />Motion. for adoption of the ordinance was s <br />rollcall there were four ayes and no nays I <br />No. 811-A52 for Second Reading. <br />offered the following ordinance for Second Reading and moved its adogion: <br />No objections being heasd, Councilman Courtney <br />ORDINANCE NO. 811-A52 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE - (NO. 811) TO REQUIRE SUBMISSION OF AN OVERALL <br />DEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR PLANNED RESIDENTIAL <br />DEVELOPIGNT NITHIN ONE YEAR AFTER PRELIMINARY <br />. <br />REZONING, APPROVAL <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF'THE CITY OF EDINA, MINNESOTA, ORDAINS: <br />Section 1. <br />"Such Overall Development Plan- shall be sbbmitted to the Planning Com- <br />mission within one (1) year after preliminarh approval is granted. <br />purpmes hereof, one (1) year shall yean a period of 365 consecutive <br />days commencing on the date following the date on which preliminary <br />approval is granted.'' . <br />Section (e) of Paragraph 8 of Section 5 of Ordinance No. <br />811 is hereby amended by adding thereto the following two sentences: <br />For <br />2.
