MINUTES OF SPECIAL BLXIGET MEETING <br />OF THE EDINA CLTY COUNCIL-~IELD Kr CITY HALL <br />SEPTEMBER 8, 1976 <br />7:OO P.M. <br />Answering rollcall were Members Courtney, Richards, Schmidt and Mayor Van <br />Valkenburg .- <br />IRON REMOVAL PLANT NO. 3 ROOF REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT CONTRACT AWARDED. Mr. Dunn <br />presented the informal bid of Vohnoutka Roofing 2nd Sheet Metal Company in the <br />amount of $5,960.00 for roofing removal 2nd replacement at the Iron Removal <br />Plant No. 3, located at 7401 Kellogg Ave. As recommended by lfr. Dum, Councilman <br />Courtney's motion awarding bid <br />$5,960.00 was seconded by Councilwoman Schmidt. <br />Ayes: Courtney, Richards, <br />Nays: None <br />Motion carried. <br />to Vohnoutka Roofing and Sheet Metal Company for <br />1977 BUDGET CONSIDERED. Nr. Hyde generally reviewed the proposed 1977 budget of <br />$5,743,205.00,. advising that the matter of Federal Revenue Sharing has not been <br />finally decided but that it is anticipated that it will be approximately the same <br />as last year. <br />personnel and advised that the City may be faced with a minor revision of minimum <br />wages. <br />that he expected that the program will be continued after the present expiration <br />date of September 30, 1976. Mr. Hyde advised that, based on the drop in population <br />estimate, the City could go up about $300,000 and still stay within levy limits. <br />Xr.
