ROSLAND ADMINISTERED OATH OF OFF'ICE. <br />oath of office to the new City Manager, Mr. Kenneth E. Rosland. Mayor Van <br />kenburg announced that Mr. Rosland had been selected from a field of some 130 <br />applicants and that Mr. Hyde will remain in an advisory capacity until February <br />21,. 1978. <br />BOY SCOUT TROOP 68 WELCOMED. <br />who meet at Good Samaritan Methodist Church with Scoutmaster Don Schlater. The <br />troop was introduced by Senior Patrol Leader Dave Long. <br />The City Clerk administered the <br />Mzyor Van Valkenburg welcomed Boy Scout Troop 68 <br />-- PUBLIC HEARINGS CONDUCTED FOR VARIOUS PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS. <br />were presented by Clerk, approved as to form and ordered placed on file. Mr. Rosland presented total estimated construction cost <br />for Flaternain Improvement No. WI4-329 <br />.against 18 lots at $1,476.75 per assessable lot. <br />construction cost.for Sanitary Sewer Improvement No. SS-344 at $29,366.22,. pro- <br />posed to be assessed against 18 lots at $1,631.46 per assessable lot. Total <br />estimated construction cost for Storm Sewer Improvemeizt No. ST.S-155 was given <br />at $10,856.94, proposed to be assessed against 18 assessable lots at $603.16 <br />per lot. Total estimated construction cost for Permanent Street Surfacing and <br />Concrete Curb and Gutter Improvement No. BA-230 by Mr. Rosland at $37,390.67, <br />proposed to be assessed against 18 assessable lots at $2,077.26 per lot. Mr. Dunu <br />recalled that these projects were all authorized by the Council on a 100% petition <br />basis on August 15, 1977, but were now being heard formally so that estimated <br />costs can be entered in the record. Mr. Egil Wefald, 7000 Sally Lane, was assure6 <br />that Outlot A is to be dedicated to the City and is not being assessed for the <br />improvements. No objections were heard. (See Resolution Ordering Inprovements <br />later in Minutes.) <br />E. CONSTRUCTION OF SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT NO. Mr. Bernie f(ilenz1, <br />6528 Belmore Lane, expresses concern about the cost and suggested that the sewer <br />be installed in the alley. Mr. Robert Bolling, 6520 Belmore Lane, said that he <br />does not want the sewer at this time. <br />perties would be subject to a future assessment.
