CUNN RETIRINENT FROM CITY HALL NOTED. <br />would be retiring from his position as City Engineer on January 6, 1977, Hayor <br />Van Valkenburg presexlced Mr. Dunn with a special certificate which had been ' <br />signed by the Council with special thanks for a job well done over the 'years <br />as City Engineer. <br />Noting that Mr. Robert Dunn <br />320 POLICE LABOR NEGOTIATIONS REPORT MADE. <br />320 He explained that negotiations are apt to be lengthy inasmuch as they Will De going <br />Court on a civil service which must be settled before any settlement can take <br />place. Rosland advised Council that Police Negotiations arc tied in with 19 other communities. <br />ASSOCIATION OF METROPQLITAN MCWICIPALITIES LEGISLATION POLICIES DISCUSSED; <br />MR. ROSLAND NAMED -ALTEWA!L'E DELEGATE. Mr. Dalen presented "Actual and Projected <br />Income and Expense Statement for the Sewer Rental Fund for Eight Years Ending <br />December 31, 1978" showing an estimated loss for the year 1978 of $67,962. In <br />response to the Nayor's concern over a "planned loss" for 1978, Mr. Dalen pointed <br />out that there is an existing surplus in the sewer fund of over $300,000 which <br />will cover the loss for 1978 and recommended that no increase be made in the <br />sewer rates for 1978. Councilman Courtney's motion accepting the report and <br />recommendation of the Finance Director was seconded by Councilwoman Schmidt. <br />Ayes: Courtney, Richards, Schmidt, Van Valkenburg <br />Nays: None <br />Motion carried. <br />1378 SALARY RESOLUTION ADOPTED.
