I& <br />City Clerk <br />MINUTES OF THE CONTINUED MEETING OF THE <br />EDINA BOARD OF REVIEW <br />HELD THURSDAY, JUNE 15, 1978 AT 4:OO P.M. <br />Answering rollcall for the continued meeting of the Board of Review were members <br />Courtney, Richards, Schmidt, Shaw and Mayor Van Valkenburg. <br />Mr. Jack Watkins, 5605 Heather Lane, objected to the estimated market value on <br />his home of $79,300, stating that he values the house at betGeen $70,000 and <br />$75,000. He contended that the value'of his house had increased at a higher <br />rate in proportion to the normal rate of property increase. <br />inspect the property. <br />-Mr. Johnson advised that Mr. .Rob.ert Tweedy, attorney for Edina Place met with <br />Robert Luneski of this office on June 15, 1978 and agreed with the recommendation <br />of Mr. Luneski for a reduction on Plat 73609, ParceL 3505 from $618,700 ($1.32 <br />per square foot) to $470,000 ($1.00 per square foot) and will agree not to file <br />a petition on the 1978 valuations. <br />Council reviewed the recommendations which wcre'made by the Assessor regarding <br />properties reviewed as requested by the Council on June 8, 1978, and set values <br />as recommended in all cases, but requested inspection and further review of <br />properties at 4437 Ellsworth Dr, 5809 Concord Ave., <br />The Assessor will <br />and 5909 Killarney Lane. <br />Mr. Johnson advised that he had received preliminary information from the State <br />of mnnesota indicating that the 1977 ratio studies indicate that Edina has an <br />aggregate market value ratio of 92.8%, with a mean ratio of 93.8% and a median <br />radio of 94.7%. <br />and a limited and mean ratio of 91.4%. He clarified that, within Henne?in County, <br />Edina is presently low on the list of market value ratios but close to the top on <br />limited lnarket ratios. <br />109.7% and for commercial buildings at 85.1% on the aggregate, 98.7 on the mean, <br />with only 4 samples per study. <br />For limited market value, Edina.has an aggregate ratio of 90.9% <br />Ratio for apartments was given on the aggregate at <br />In response to a question of tfr.
