Mr. Hughes advised that <br />$350,000 in Community Development Funds are available to the City for the Cross- <br />roads Development project and requested permission to retain a consultant who <br />would estimate the amount that the City should allocate from these funds to this <br />project. ,As recommended by Mr. Hughes, Councilman Courtney's motion authorizing <br />the retention of a consultant for the Crossroads Development project, with the <br />understanding that the developer reimburse the City for any costs incurred if <br />the project is not approved, was seconded by Councilman Bredesen. <br />Ayes: Bredesen, Courtney, Richards, Schmidt, Van Valkenburg <br />Nays: None <br />Mot ion carried . <br />I <br />WINFIELD DEVELOPMENT PROJECT TO BE CONSIDERED AT SPECIAL MEETING. <br />advised Council that he would be meeting with the Winfield Development staff <br />and Mr. Larry Laukka regarding the proposal for mixed use development on the <br />Southwest corner of York Ave. at W. 76th Street and asked Council if they would <br />like to attend the meeting. Van Valitenburg <br />Nays: None <br />Motion carried. <br />AEROBIC DUCE STUDIO USE IN PLANNED INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT DISCUSSED. <br />Richards called Council's attention to a letter from Ms. Lona Mosow <br />inviting the Council to visit her studio before the proposed amendment to <br />allow aerobic dancing as a principal use in the Planned Industrial District is <br />consjdered on October 6, 1980. No formal action was taken. <br />1980 BUDGET ADOPTED. <br />justments to the proposed 1981 i3udget as was approved by the Council at its <br />meeting of September 22, 1980, reducing the Budget by $134,124. <br />as revised will produce a budget of $7,350,030, with a total tax levy of <br />$4,451,775, based on an assessed value of $478,770,340. <br />the budget will produce a mill rate of 9.298 which will result in a decrease of <br />5.59% over the 1980 mill rate.
