c <br />MINUTES <br />OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE <br />EDINA CITY COUNCIL HELD AT CITY HALL <br />JULY 1, 1985 <br />189 <br />Answering rollcall were Members Bredesen, Richards, Turner and Mayor Courtney. <br />I <br />4 0 00 <br />c) m a <br />I <br />I <br />EMPLOYEES JOE ELIAS, WILLIAM MC FADDEN AND MERWYN WALKER COFDENDED. <br />Director of Parks and Recreation, introduced Joe Elias, William McFadden and Merwyn <br />Walker. <br />now work for the City on a part-time basis at the Braemar Golf Course. <br />has worked 11 years at the golf course and has been manager of the Par 3. <br />has been at the golf course for 10 years and works in the administrative area. <br />Mr. McFadden has been at the golf course 5 years and does handyman tasks. <br />were commended for their dedicated service to the City and were presented with silver <br />pens bearing the,Edina Logo. <br />appreciation to these employees. <br />Robert Kojetin, <br />He pointed out that these men have all retired from their professions and <br />Mr. Elias <br />Mr. Walker <br />They <br />Member of the Council also extended their thanks-and <br />MINUTES of the Joint City Council/HRA Meeting of May 6, 1985 and the Council Minutes <br />of June 3, 1985 were approved as submitted by motion of Member Bredesen, seconded by <br />Member Richards. <br />Ayes: Bredesen, Richards, Turner, Courtney <br />Motion carried. <br />LOT DIVISION APPROVED FOR LOT 13, BLOCK 1, SIOUX TRAIL FOURTH (6901-03 McCAULEY TRAIL). <br />Planner Craig Larsen presented the request for division of Lot 13, Block 1, Sioux <br />Trail Fourth (6901-03 McCauley Trail). <br />division of an existing double bungalow. <br />Staff would recommend approval. <br />the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION <br />WHEREAS, the following described property is at present a single tract of land: <br />Lot 13, Block 1, Sioux Trail Fourth Addition; and <br />WHEREAS, the owner has requested the subdivision of said tract into separate parcels <br />(herein called "Parcels") described as follows : <br />The proponent is requesting a party wall lot <br />Separate utility connections are provided. <br />No objections being heard, Member Bredesen introduced <br />Parcel A: That part of Lot 13, Block 1, Sioux Trail Fourth Addition, <br />according to the recorded plat thereof, Hennepin County, Minnesota, <br />lying northerly of a line which bears South 89 degrees 09 minutes <br />47 seconds West (the north line of said Lot 13 is assumed to bear <br />South 89 degrees 24 minutes 17 seconds East), from a point on the <br />east line of said Lot 13, distant 53.08 feet southerly of the north- <br />ease corner. of said Lot 13, and <br />Parcel B: That part of Lot 13, Block 1, Sioux Trail Fourth Addition, <br />according to the recorded plat thereof, Hennepin County, Minnesota, <br />lying southerly of a line which bears South 89 degrees 09 minutes <br />47 seconds West (the north line of said Lot 13 is assumed to bear <br />South 89 degrees 24 minutes 17 seconds East), from a point on the <br />east line of said Lot 13, distant 53.08 feet southerly of the north- <br />east corner of said Lot 13. <br />WHEREAS, the requested subdivision is authorized under Ordinance No. 801 and it has <br />been determined that compliance with the Subdivision and Zoning Regulations of the <br />City of Edina will create an unnecessary hardship and said Parcels as separate tracts <br />of.land do not interfere with the purpose of the Subdivision and Zoning Regulations <br />as contained in the City of Edina Ordinance Nos. 825 and 801; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby resolved by the City Council of the City of Edina that <br />the conveyance and ownership of the second above described Parcels as separate tracts <br />of land is hereby approved and the requirements and provisions of Ordinances Nos. 825 <br />and 801 are hereby waived to allow said division and conveyance thereof as separate <br />tracts of land, but only to the extent permitted under Ordinance No. 801 and Ordinance <br />No. 825 and subject to the limitations set out in Ordinance No. 825, and said Ordi- <br />nances are not waived for any other purpose or as to any other provisions thereof, <br />and further subject,-however, to the provision that no further subdivision be made <br />of said Parcels unless made in compliance with the pertinent ordinances of the City <br />of Edina or with the prior approval of this Council as may be provided for by those <br />ordinances. <br />Motion for adoption of the resolution was seconded by Member Richards. <br />Rollcall : <br />Ayes: Bredesen, Richards, Turner, Courtney <br />Resolution adopted. <br />LOT DIVISION APPROVED FOR LOT 2, BLOCK 2, INDIANHED CmST D.
