I: m a <br />. <br />MINUTES <br />OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE <br />EDINA CITY COUNCIL HELD AT CITY HALL <br />OCTOBER 20, 1986 <br />261 <br />Answering rollcall were Members Bredesen, Kelly, Richards, Turner and Mayor <br />Courtney. <br />PARAMEDICS JOEL RADJENOVICH AND RON SAMUELSON COMMENDED. Manager Rosland <br />introduced paramedics Joel Radjenovich, who started as a firefighter with the <br />City in 1975 and became a paramedic in July of 1979, and Ron Samuelson, who <br />started as a firefighter in 1975 and became a paramedic in March of 1976. He <br />commended them for their service to the City and especially for their commit- <br />ment to the paramedic program. <br />the Edina Logo. Members of the Council also extended their thanks and appre- <br />ciation. <br />They were presented with silver pens bearing <br />MINUTES of the Regular Meetings of August 18 and September 8, 1986 were approved <br />as submitted by motion of Member Turner, seconded by Member Kelly. <br />Ayes: Bredesen, Kelly, Richards, Turner, Courtney <br />Motion carried. <br />CONSENT AGENDA ITEMS ADOPTED. <br />Member Turner to adopt the consent agenda as pre&ented. <br />Rollcall : <br />Ayes: Bredesen, Kelly, Richards, Turner, Courtney <br />Motion carried. <br />Motion was made by Member Kelly and seconded by <br />ORDINANCE NO. 825-AlTS GRANTED FIRST READING; R-1 TO PRD-2 ZONING FOR ROBERT HANSBN. <br />Attorney Erickson advised that the findings of facts that the Council had asked <br />staff to prepare at the meeting of September 15, 1986 have been prepared and were <br />sent out to the developer last week. A response to the findings has been received <br />by Mr. Eansen's attorney which included a new graphic depicting proposed retaining <br />walls for the project. No comment being heard, Member Turner introduced Ordinance <br />No. 825-A10 for First Reading as follows: - <br />'ORDINANCE NO. 825-AN. <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE (NO. 825) <br />BY ADDING TO THE PLANNED RESIDENCE DISTRICT (PRD-2). <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDINA, MINNESOTA, ORDAINS: <br />Section 1. Section 6 of Ordinance No. 825 of the City is amended by adding <br />"The extent of the Planned Residence District (Sub-District PRD-2) is <br />enlarged by the addition of the following property: <br />That part of the NE% of the NWk of Section 6, Township 116, Range 21, described <br />as follows: Beginning at the NW corner of said NE% of the NWk; thence South <br />. less to a point which is distant 814.5 feet North of the SW corner of said NE% <br />the following thereto: <br />, along the West line'of said NEk of the NWk a distance of 709.1 feet more or <br />of the NWk; thence Easterly on a deflection angle to the left of 87 degrees <br />40 minutes a distance of 676.3 feet; thence running North parallel with the <br />West line of the NE% of the NWk a distance of 674.9 feet more or less to the <br />North line of said Section 6; thence West along said North line a distance of <br />678.6 feet more or less to the beginning, which lies Northeasterly of the <br />Northerly line of the County Road. <br />The West One Hundred Fifty (150) feet of that part of the Northeast Quarter of <br />the Northwest Quarter' (NE% of NWk) and the Northwest Quarter of the Northeast <br />Quarter (NWk of NE%) of Section Six (6), Township One Hundred Sixteen (116) <br />North, Range Twenty-one (21) West, described as follows: Beginning on a point <br />in the West line of said Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter (NE% of NW%) <br />distant 814.5 feet North of the Southwest corner thereof; thence running East <br />and a deflection angle to the right. of 92O.20' a distance of 676.3 feet; thence <br />North parallel with the West line of said Northeast Quarter of the Northwest <br />Quarter (NE% of NWk) a distance of 366 feet to a point which is 283.9 feet South <br />of the North line of said Section Six (6); the actual point of beginnlng of the <br />tract to be described; thence running East on a deflection angle to the right <br />of 92O 20' a distance of 1317.5 feet more or less to the centerline of the Town <br />Road, also known as Gleason Road as now laid out and travelled; thence North- <br />easterly along said centerline a distance of 384.7 feet more or less to its <br />intersection with &he North line of said Section Six (6) ; thence West along <br />said North line a distance of 1426.3 feet more or less to a point which is <br />distant 678.6 feet East of the Northwest corner of the Northeast Quarter of the <br />Northwest Quarter (NE% of NWk); thence South parallel with the West line of said <br />Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter (NE% of NW$) 182.9 feet to the point <br />of beginning. <br />Which lies Northerly of the following described line: Beginning at the East <br />1/4 corner of Section Six (6), Township One Hundred Sixteen (116), Range <br />Twenty-one (21), thence North 00' 09' 27 seconds East along the East line of <br />said Section Six (6) a distance of 1807.59 feet'; thence North 78' 48' 33 seconds
