With a <br />slide presentation, Engineer Fran Hoffman showed the various areas at the 50th & <br />France Business District that were in need of repair or replacement and that would <br />be included in the project. <br />following: <br />50TH &FRANCE BUSINESS DISTRICT RENOVATION IMPROVEMENT NO. 89-9 AUTHORIZED <br />The proposed project would involve renovation of the <br />1) <br />2) 3) Replacement of trash containers <br />4) <br />5) <br />6) <br />7) <br />Portions of sidewalk and tile pavers <br />Replacement of some of the bollards <br />Removal and replacement of a portion of landscaping <br />Refurbishing of kiosks and bell tower <br />Removal and replacement of the alley canopy east of Belleson's <br />Consideration of construction of a canopy over the alley on the west side <br />of the theater. <br />Engineer Hoffman recalled that at its meeting of April 3, 1989 the Housing and <br />Redevelopment Authority had considered the proposed 50th & France Business <br />District renovation improvement project and had agreed to finance 80% of the <br />renovation costs. <br />the 50th & France Business District.
