OF THE CLOSED WORK SESSION OF THE
EDINA CITY COUNCIL
HELD AT CITY HALL
MAY 21, 2013
4:36 P.M.
Mayor Hovland called the work session of the Edina City Council to order at 4:36 p.m.
ROLL CALL
Answering roll call were: Members Bennett, Brindle, Sprague, Swenson and Mayor Hovland.
Edina City Staff attending the meeting: Karen Kurt, Assistant City Manager; Jane Timm, Deputy City
Clerk; Scott Neal, City Manager; Bill Neuendorf, Economic Development Manager; Roger Knutson, City
Attorney; and Jay Lindgren, Attorney, Dorsey& Whitney.
SESSION CLOSED
Member Sprague made a motion, seconded by Member Bennett to move into closed session to discuss
potential real estate acquisition 3944 49% Street West at 4:36 p.m.
Ayes: Bennett, Brindle, Sprague, Swenson, Hovland
Motion carried.
Economic Development Manager Neuendorf updated the Council on the status of the property at 3944
49 % Street West. Mr. Neuendorf and Attorney Jay Lindgren reported on the potential acquisition of
the property at 3944 49 % Street West. The Council and staff discussed the level of interest, timing
and potential purchase terms for the property.
ADJOURNMENT
Member Swenson made a motion seconded by Member Sprague to adjourn the closed session at
5:28 p.m.
Ayes: Bennett, Brindle, Sprague, Swenson, Hovland.
Motion carried.
