OF THE WORK SESSION
OF THE EDINA CITY COUNCIL,
HELD TUESDAY,MAY 29,2007
5:00 P.M.
Mayor Hovland called the meeting to order at 5:00 P.M. as the Council members boarded a
Dial A Ride bus at Edina City Hall to tour various properties within Edina Answering
rollcall were: Members Bennett, Housh, Masica, Swenson and Mayor Hovland. Staff
present included: Gordon Hughes, City Manager; Heather Worthington, Assistant to the
City Manager; Ceil Smith, Assistant to the City Manager; Kris Aaker, Assistant Planner and
Debra Mangen, City Clerk.
The following properties were reviewed during the bus tour:
5021 Indianola 5101 Mirror Lakes Drive
5201 Halifax 5016 Schaefer Road
5504 Halifax 5117 Ridge Road
5617 Chowen Avenue 5908 Code Avenue
4001/4003 49th Street 6128 Westridge Boulevard
4005 Grimes 7000 Antrim Road
4214 Crocker Avenue
While driving from one property to another; additional renovations and reconstructions
were viewed. Council discussed the impact upon these and the above listed homes relative
to building side yard setback, building height, front elevation and changes in elevation
relative to walk out lots. A Council work session was agreed upon for Tuesday, June 5,
2007 at 5:00 p.m. in the Community Room of Edina City Hall.
Mayor Hovland adjourned the meeting at 6:45 P.M.
