Community Feedback Needed on Living Streets Plan
Edina, Minn., Jan. 13, 2015 – What are “Living Streets” and what does it mean for your neighborhood?
What is in the Living Streets Policy and how will it be implemented? The City seeks feedback from the
community on its draft Living Streets Plan with two public meetings:
7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4, Edina Public Works & Park Maintenance Facility, 7450 Metro Blvd.
10-11:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, Edina Senior Center, 5280 Grandview Square
Living Streets balance the needs of all street users in ways that promote safety and convenience, enhance
community identity, create economic vitality, improve environmental sustainability and provide meaningful
opportunities for active living and better health.
The Living Streets Policy, approved by the City Council in 2013, defines Edina’s vision for Living Streets. The
Living Streets Plan will address how the policy will be implemented.
