Environmental Film Series Includes ‘Revenge of the Electric Car’
Edina, Minn., April 29, 2015 – The City of Edina’s Energy & Environment Commission (EEC) is presenting
the second installment of its 2015 Environmental Film series. The film, “Revenge of the Electric Car,” will be
shown at 7 p.m. Friday, May15. The documentary will be shown at no cost for attendees at the Public Works &
Park Maintenance Facility, 7450 Metro Blvd.
In “Revenge of the Electric Car,” director Chris Paine takes his film crew behind the closed doors of Nissan,
GM and the Silicon Valley start-up Tesla Motors to chronicle the story of the global resurgence of electric cars.
Paine believes that this new generation of car is America’s future.
EEC member John Howard believes that “Revenge of the Electric Car” is a great example of what the
emergence of electric cars has looked like in the last few years and the people who led the charge. “The film
shows how technology and an entrepreneurial spirit can be used to make something really cool and good for
the environment,” he said.
The EEC encourages attendees to stay after for a discussion following the movie. For more information, contact
John Howard at JWHoward3@gmail.com or Paul Thompson at 952-920-1547.
