Council Member Brindle To Host June Walk
Edina, Minn., June 20, 2015 – The City of Edina holds a “Walk with the Mayor” every month. City Council
Member Mary Brindle will lead this month’s walk 9 a.m. Saturday, June 20, at Centennial Lakes Park, 7499
France Ave. S.
Participants will have the opportunity to walk around a 10-acre lake surrounded by beautiful outdoor
aesthetics along the 1.5-mile paved pathway. Centennial Lakes Park offers many other activities during the
summer months. Among other things, visitors can fish, rent paddleboats, explore the maze, play lawn games
and golf on the putting course.
“I look forward to walking Centennial Lakes Park -- one of my favorite places in Edina -- and welcome some
company to walk with me,” said Brindle. “I hope we can enjoy some good weather and good conversation.”
Brindle plans to discuss various topics and current events with those who attend. Walkers should plan to
meet at the clock in front of the Hughes Pavilion.
Walk with the Mayor events are typically held the third Saturday of each month at 9 a.m. In case of rain,
residents should meet at Caribou Coffee at Southdale Center.
