Caribou Coffee Invites Guests To Donate Coffee to Local ‘Warriors’
Edina, Minn., June 12, 2015 – Caribou Coffee at 4999 France Ave. S. and 3945 W. 50th St., Edina, is
encouraging donations for Edina Police Officers, whom they deem as “outstanding community members.”
On “Warrior Wednesday,” July 29, Caribou Coffee will invite guests to donate coffee to local “Warriors.”
Local “Warriors” are those who have served the community in a meaningful way: teachers, nurses,
firefighters, police officers, veterans, soldiers and the like.
“Local ‘Warriors’ can use the donated coffee as they wish in their operation,” said Store Manager Melanie
Crenshaw. “They can brew their coffee in house, give as prizes or gifts or auction to raise funds.”
Members of the Edina Police Department will attend the event throughout the day, illustrating how they
benefit the Edina community and what they do on a day-to-day basis.
“We will have several members at Caribou Coffee, bringing some cruisers, motorcycles and displays,” said Lt.
Brian Tholen. “We would like to show donors how we are involved in the City, as well as who we are as a
Department. Department members will be at the event throughout the day interacting with residents and
willing to answer questions.”
The premium coffee associated with the event is called “La Minita Peaberry,” only available from Caribou
Coffee once a year. The peaberry beans used to create this coffee concoction are located in Hacienda La
Minita in Costa Rica. The beans are sorted by hand, and the coffee has notes of candied cherries and creamy
milk chocolate.
