Edina Art Center’s Fall Author’s Studio Begins
Edina, Minn., Oct. 15, 2015 – The Edina Art Center hosts an Author’s Studio each month from October
through May on the second Saturday of the month at 10 a.m. The Author’s Studio is held in the Margaret Foss
Gallery at the Edina Art Center, 4701 W. 64th St., Edina.
During The Author’s Studio, local authors speak with author Colin Nelson about their work. The program is
styled after the old television show, “The Actor’s Studio,” and features Minnesota history, cookbook, children’s
book, memoir and mystery writers.
“The Author’s Studio is celebrating its fourth year with the fall 2015 line-up,” said Edina Art Center General
Manager Michael Frey. “We have three interesting and well-known local authors who are sure to interest
readers and authors learning about the publishing business.”
The fall season of the series began on Oct. 10 with author Chuck Logan. Logan has had several New York Times
best sellers. His most recent book, “Fallen Angel,” was a finalist in the 2014 Minnesota Book Awards.
The next Author’s Studio will be held on Nov. 14 with author Lori Sturdevant. Sturdevant is the author of Her
Honor: Rosalie Wahl and the Minnesota Women's Movement, which won the Minnesota Book Award in 2014.
Sturdevant is also the political columnist for the Star Tribune.
The final fall series Author’s Studio event will be held on Dec. 12 with author Chris Farrell. Farrell wrote
Unretirement: How Baby Boomers Are Changing the Way We Think About Work, Community, and the Good Life. Farrell
is the economics commentator at Minnesota Public Radio and American Public Media. He has written several
financial books.
