Mr. Rosland reported thaLmany requests have been received arom
,various organi attons for league play. Mr.. Rosland pointed out that
some leagues at certain sloe rives may be of value. He also pointed
out that Mr. Cooper felt that rjo pvobably should start our own men's
and tvomenls leagues. It was pointed out that we stab do not have
enough operating expo ience to know exactly men Ue should try to
encourage league play. Mr. leAs suggeated that we do not discourage
these people in the event that %, geed then but that uta should hold
off on giving an s r and put league play on the agenda for the
September meeting at alch time vie may have more ansvmrs.

=ate. Rosland resorted that inteTest has been shorn by several
peopleconcerning air conditioning the clubhouse and pro shop.
George Hite was rerruested by the Council to look Into air condition-
ing -and what could be dune about it. The clubhouse and pro shop
would have to be weather stripped to make it feasible. The: estate
for °father stripping code to about $1,000.00. Mr. Ed Olson from
Vale Engineering and Pyr. Rosland went through the clubhouse together
on Friday4 August 7 wW We Olson is going to s&e an estimate but
could not have it ready for this. meeting. W. Stevens asked whether
it has been deewd by they Council whether the eatimate would go to
the Park Board or directly to the Council. Mr. Mite stated that
there was no rush aince air conditioning could not be done in time
to be of any value this year. He felt they Council would authorizes
the Paris Board to study the situation and maker recomendations for
next yeti.

Mr. Kojet n reported that the playground program and est of
the other suomw activities have come to an end as of July 31 `-The
last swiminsttuction classes will be completed next waek..This
will mean a total of approximately 31,000 people have been given
m instruction this year. At present, plans for the football
season are underway. Gun Safety starts August 12th and will be
offered two days a week and involves eight hours of Instruction.
Baseball is completed with the exception of the Meen"s Slo-Pitch

the course satisfactorily. Mr, Diercks suggested a oxnary be
