ON ALLEY AND STREET
VACATIONS IN THE
CITY OF EDINA
HENNEPIN COUNTY,
MINNESOTA
PORTION OF NORTH - SOUTH
ALLEY LYING BETWEEN ABBOT
AVENUE AND BEARD AVENUE
AND BETWEEN W. 59TH STREET
AND I9. GOTH STREET AND POR-
TION OF BROOKSIDE AVENUE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that
the City Council of the City of Edina,
Hennepin, County, Minnesota, will
meet at the Edina City Hall in the
City, on July 21, 1975, at 7:00 o'clock
p.m., for the purpose of holding pub-
lic hearings on the proposed vaca-
tion of the following described alley
and street:
That part of the North - South alley
lying within Block 5, Harriet Manor
Second Addition, which lies between
the westerly extension of the North
line of Lot 7, said Block 5 and the
Westerly extension of the South line
of Lot 9, said Block 5; and
That part of Brookside Av-
enue, as shown. on the plat of
Grand View Heights, on file and
of record in the office of the Re-
gister of Deeds, Hennepin
County, Minnesota, which lies
between the Easterly extension
across Brookside Avenue of the
South line of Tract C, Registered
Land Survey No. 1393, Files of
the Registrar of Titles. Henne-
pin County, Minnesota, and the
extension across Brookside Av-
enue of the South line of Hopkins
Road, as shown on said plat of
Grand View Heights.
All persons who desire to be heard
with ,respect to the question of
whether or not the above proposed
alley and street vacations are in the
public interest and should be made
shall be heard at said time and
place. The Council shall consider the
extent to which such proposed alley
and street vacations affect existing
easements within the area of the
proposed vacation and the extent to
which the vacation affects the au-
thority of any person, corporation,
or municipality owning or control-
ling electric or telephone poles and
lines, gas and sewer lines, or water
pipes, mains, and hydrants on or
under the area of the proposed vaca-
tions, to continue maintaining the
same or to enter upon such street or
alley or portion thereof vacated to
maintain, repair, replace; remove,
or otherwise attend thereto, for the
purpose of specifying, in any such
vacation resolution, the extent to
which any or all of any such ease-
ments, and such authority to main
tain, and to enter upon the area of
the proposed vacations, shall con-
tinue.
