SIN From: John Keprios, Director Edina Park and Recreationepartment Date: March 3, 1999 Re: MARCH 9,999, PARK BOARD ORIENTATION MEETING. WELCOME NEW PARK BOARD MEMBERS! On behalf of the four remaining veteran Park Board members (Dave Fredlund, Andrew Herring, Bill Jenkins and Tom White) and the entire staff of the Edina Park and Recreation Department, I wish to extend a hearty welcome to our new seven Park Board members. We look forward to serving with you. Being that the Edina Park Board has seven (7) new members out of eleven (11) total, I thought it best to have our first meeting be simply an orientation for the new members and give the veteran four a night off. The four veteran members are of course more than welcome to attend. This meeting will not be considered an official Park Board meeting where attendance records are in effect. This is simply an orientation meeting for new members. The public is welcome to attend, however, the meeting will not be convened to address official business, such as, approval of the minute or recommendations passed on to the City Council. This orientation meeting will be brief and will follow the agenda included in this mailing. This meeting will be somewhat informal and I hope you will find it informative and enjoyable. I look forward to meeting with you and working toward our common goals to improve the quality of life in Edina. Congratulations on your appointment and thank you in advance for unselfishly serving this great community. See you Tuesday. Many thanks.
