SUBJECT: April Park Board meeting cancelled.
Due to the fact that there are no items or issues in need of
immediate attention, there will be no April Park Board meeting.
For your information, I have enclosed a copy of the Park
Referenda Slide Presentation Meeting Schedule. As you will note,
we have now completed 34 meetings and have only six more to go.
It is my guess that almost 2,000 people have already viewed this
presentation.
I believe that we have done our part to well inform the community
• about the upcoming special election by accomplishing the
following:
1. Scheduled 40 community group meetings (slide presentation, handouts
and question/answer session).
2. Recorded the slide presentation on video to be shown on eight
different dates local cable television channel 33.
3. Produced two VHS tapes of the slide presentation which are
available to individuals or groups who wish to check out at no cost
to view the presentation at home at their leisure.
3. Produced an extensive article in the City's Newsletter, About Town,
to be mailed to every Edina resident around the first week in
April.
4. Produced a detailed informational brochure to be mailed to every
Edina resident around the last week in April.
If there is any issue that any Park Board member feels that needs
immediate attention, please call me at 927-8861 ext. 230.
Remember to mark your calendar to vote on Tuesday, May 7, 1996.
The next Park Board meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, May 14,
1996. See you in May!
