Dear Bob,
Thank you for taking the time to meet
with me and discuss Walnut Ridge Park. It was
also nice of you to include Vince.
Collectively, your comments gave me a good

understanding that, through the scheduling of
the rink maintenance personnel, resurfacing of
the Walnut Ridge rinks will not occur prior to
7.00 a.m., except during the initial base
building period in the first two weeks of
December. At that time, fogging and flooding
will be done without using the hockey rink
lights and heavy equipment will be used only
if required due to snowfall conditions.
JEFFREY R. ARNOLD
Once again, Bob, thank you. I enjoyed
our discussion and found you comments about
park maintenance both interesting and
enlightening. Please call me if you have
questions concerning my comments or wish to
discuss these matters further.
Sincerely,
/Jeffrey R. Arnold

The Art Center Board works as a liaison to the Park Board in funding for capital improvement and operations through
the Park and Recreation Department operational and capital budget.
For example: An issue goes to the Park Board from a citizen group. The Park Board or Art Center Board reviews the
issue and makes a recommendation to the City Council for approval or disapproval of the activity or
policy. The issue is presented to the Council by either the Park and Recreation Director. If the Council
approves the policy, they recommend the City Manager to recommend implementation of the program or
policy by the Park and Recreation Director.
