These documents hopefully address all the concerns of the Cornelia School Park neighborhood. I have also enclosed some statistics that outline how the scheduling worked out this season. As you will notice, I scheduled five more days than I originally intended to use at the Cornelia School Park field. My decision to use the field for five more dates than originally planned was based on two main reasons: 1. Team registration totals were slightly higher than anticipated. • 2. Todd Park and Yorktown Park fields are the least preferred sites for games due to parking (no parking lots at Todd Park) and very poor and somewhat hazardous playing conditions at both sites. Todd Park and Yorktown Park softball fields are, however, being used for practice fields this season. More adult softball games would have been scheduled at Courtney Field #2, however, the youth program takes over the field on May 17 for the rest of the season. I had hoped to discuss this issue with you earlier, however, you seem to have an unlisted phone number and did not include a phone number on your correspondence. I also verbally made it a point at our recent adult softball managers meeting that drinking in the parks (and especially Cornelia School Park) will not be tolerated. I also emphasized the parking and refuse issues. In fact, I made an overhead transparency to illustrate the parking situation at Cornelia School Park. We intend to have both parking lots striped and place temporary no parking signs along Claremore Drive and Cornelia Drive in the near future. We will also be placing more refuse containers before the first league game. I have already informed our 1993 Park Ranger to visit the Cornelia School Park softball field every game night to enforce the no drinking rule.
