1. Inspection Tour to be held Tuesday, August 22.
2. Working toward having a written document first draft for the
Year 2000 in September frog the Park Development committee.
Joyce is working on the op,n space project.
3. Working on the budget.

SENIOR CENTER NOTES
After six months, these are the concerns at the Senior Center:
1. Geographically undesirable
- not on a bus line
- 3rd floor difficult to get to
2. Uncleanliness of building due to lack of maintenance not due
to construction.
3. Inconsistency of cleaning operations.
4. No air conditioning.
5. Parking during school year (September through May). Too
long of a walk from parking area to building.
6. Taking extremely long time for elevator and restrooms to be
constructed.
7. Community Education gets first choice on rooms, times, etc.
in the building. We are second choice on everything except
the big room we are in now.
8. There is not a "homey" feeling in the room. Seniors do not
feel this is "our senior center".
9. Inconsistency of delivery and quality of congregate dining
food.
10. Volunteers of America contract with Salaam Catering in the
building since we do not have the proper food preparation
area for the Volunteers of America to prepare the food
themselves.
11. As a result of the poor food and delivery, we feel we cannot
do any outreach or promoting of the program.
12. We sometimes discourage people from coming because of the
temperature of the area.
13. Lack of continuity of whole program with classes in
different rooms --everything is not in one location.
