RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISITION OF PROPERTY FOR
REDEVELOPMENT PURPOSES
WHEREAS, the Edina Housing and Redevelopment Authority (the "HRA") has
authorities and powers according to Minnesota Statutes, Sections 469.001 to 469.047;
WHEREAS, the HRA has previously approved and adopted a development program
known as the Wooddale and Valley View Road Development Plan ("Plan") for the redevelopment
of properties included in the Plan Area pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Section 469.001 et seq.;
WHEREAS, a parcel of vacant land located within the Plan Area is available for
purchase from the East Edina Housing Foundation, which property is legally described as
follows:
Lot 6, Block 21, Fairfax, Hennepin County, Minnesota, according to the recorded plat
thereof ("Property");
WHEREAS, the HRA has received a development proposal for the Property from
Edina Flats L.L.C. for construction of 14 condominium units on the Property and adjoining
property, ("Minimum Improvements") consistent with the Plan (the "Project"), and;
WHEREAS, acquisition of the Property is necessary to carry out the Plan and the
Project;
WHEREAS, the HRA proposes to acquire the Property for redevelopment purposes
using funds it has at its disposal and pursuant to the terms of the Purchase Agreement between
the HRA and East Edina Housing Foundation attached hereto ("Purchase Agreement"), and;
WHEREAS, the HRA is authorized to acquire the property within the Plan Area
pursuant to Minn. Stat. Section 469.012;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of the Edina Housing and
Redevelopment Authority that:
1. The Purchase Agreement is hereby approved;

2. The Chair and the Secretary are hereby authorized to execute and deliver any
documents necessary to effect the acquisition of the Property in accordance with the Purchase
Agreement.
Passed and adopted by the Edina Housing and Redevelopment uthority on this 8`h day of
November, 2017.
