Final Fall Author’s Studio Features Author Chris Farrell
Edina, Minn., Dec. 10, 2015 – The Edina Art Center will host the final Fall Author’s Studio 10 a.m. Dec. 12.
The Author’s Studio is held in the Margaret Foss Gallery at the Edina Art Center, 4701 W. 64th St., Edina.
During the Author’s Studio, local authors speak with author Colin Nelson about their work. The program is
styled after the old television show, “The Actor’s Studio,” and features Minnesota history, cookbook, children’s
book, memoir and mystery writers.
Farrell wrote Unretirement: How Baby Boomers Are Changing the Way We Think About Work, Community, and the
Good Life.
Farrell spent much of his professional life reporting and writing on economics and helping people make the
most of their money. He is currently the senior economics contributor at Marketplace, American Public Media’s
nationally syndicated public radio business and personal finance programs. He is also economics commentator
for Minnesota Public Radio. Chris writes a regular column on unretirement for Next Avenue and on personal
finance for the Star Tribune. He has written for a number of media outlets, including Bloomberg Businessweek,
Kiplinger’s and Frontline. He received his undergraduate degree from Stanford University and his graduate
degree from the London School of Economics.
The Author’s Studio will resume in 2016 and continue into the spring. For more information visit
