Three Arrested in Connection with Robbery
Edina, Minn., Sept. 27, 2016 – Three suspects have been arrested and charged in connection with a July 28
home invasion robbery on Wooddale Avenue.
“The reason this case got solved is due to the hard work of Detective Joel Moore, who really left no stone
unturned,” said Sgt. Kevin Rofidal. “He kept digging and talking to people until these suspects were charged.”
Tyrell Rayshawn Revere, 19, of Champlin; Joshswan Kevonta Tate, 18, of Burnsville; and Wayne Darrius Ali
Boyd, 20, of Edina, have been charged with first-degree burglary assault and aggravated robbery. The felonies
each come with a maximum 20-year sentence.
Revere, Kevonta and Boyd are suspected of entering a home and holding the homeowner at gun point while
demanding money. An iPhone 6s and $1,000 were stolen from one of the victims, who knew one of the
suspects.
The three suspects are currently being held at Hennepin County Jail. Bail is set at $100,000 each.
The Edina Police Department received assistance from the Burnsville Police Department, North Star Fugitive
Task Force and U.S. Marshals Service.
