Subjects Joint meeting of the E -M School Board and Edina Park Board, Monday,
April ll, 7:30 P.M.
The Edina P:3rk Board will meet at 7x30 P.M. in the Cafeteria of the High
School. We are scheduled to join the School Board about 8:00 P.M.
The items to be discussed at the joint meeting are these:
1. Cornelia School - Park Site Plan
A few minor modifications have been made, Harrison and
Associates are asking for a determination of %,chat site
work is to bid this spring and an agreement on Tdio pays
for what.
2. Valley View Road School Park Proposed
The problem here is to get some preliminary site plan-
ning done to enable use to determine how rwch land the
Village needs to acquire in this area. lbt. Kuhlman agrees
that there is merit to this approach thus arranged for
the meeting of the two boards.
3. Discussion of the matter of acquisition of the lot on 70th St.
next to the Cornelia School property.
Following the joint board meeting we can either return to the Village Hall
or meet again in the Cafeteria.
Here are some of the agenda items for your consideration.
1. 62nd and Beard Plan
2. Enlargement of Park Board and Committee System.
3. Report on land acquisition progress.

Boar W. Hannah,
I have your recent letter -- mailed April 5th » submitting on behalf of the
Edina Jaycees, a list ol- questions in ccnnec•tion with the golf course vp
hope to establish in the southwest corner of the Village.
The information you are looking for is almost identical. with what the Park
Board is presently trying to acquire. It rill take time - a lot of time
to contact some 15 to 25 public golf courses across northern part of the
country, analyze the information they give us, and solidify our thinking
on this big undertaking to a point YAiere we feel we have something definite
to submit to the Village Trustees.
It may interest you to know that our engineering consultants have already
been authorized to survey all of this large park area. Until their work
is completed, you can readily understand it would be pva guess work on our
part to attempt to answer ycur question I (C).
Meantime, let rye assure you on behalf of the Park Board, that re very
happy indeed at the Interest you men are taking in this propositio 1'dhen
we havo something concrete worked out, time enough then for us to fo late
coLmittees. I predict there gill be many such co7.mittees, if tie ever r: ch
a point %fiere vie can see daylight on the development of this large park
without increasing taxes.
Thank you for your letter.
Sincerely yours,
M. A. Crinkley
