for general picnicing and out:bi, pix-erposes for the 1959 season only.
1,, General public access TT111 be via the Dewey Hill Road entrance only,
2, Automobile traffic Trill be positively limited to the rmid leading to
the parking area and that is all. Suitable barricades will be put
up to control this car route,,
3,, FdRing will be permitted to any portion of the parka except in the
area of the police pistol range,, which area is to be posted with
warning signs
4. Litter cans appropriately paiiTted and marked will be placed where
necessary to encourage use.
5. Fires will be peniritted only in the specially prepared places which
will be marked., The current wide spread use of portable charcoal
burners creates the problem of suitable disposal of the coals.
Therefore., ash containers will have to be provided. Warning signs
regarding fires ifill also have to be put up.
6, Drinkimg water - - until rt water sw, ply is established5 park users
will have to carry their mm zater.
7,, Rest room facilities - - if this park is to be used as contemplated,
the establishment of at least one latrine for each sex is a must.
It is to be hoped that a location for such a structure can be set in
consultation urith the park planners at an early date so nonstructuion
can be coMleted in timo for use.
The park should be closed, gate locked by 10:00 P,"R-, each night.
le,'Iho vill lock the gate needs to be worked out, One idea is to get
a near by neighbor to do it.
Whittling, chopping,, or cutting of trees and sh-rubbery is prohibited,:
10, Use of alcoholic beverages is prohibited.
Mting the public aware of these regulations will be accomplished through:
(A) Appropriate signs properly located in the park.
(B) Information articles in the. Edina Courier.
(C) :Perhaps a mimeographed bulletin which could be
picked up at -the park gate.
