Ninutes of the regular meeting of
the Council of the Village of Edina
held in Grange Hall at 8 PM, on Boaeinber 11, 1935
The meeting Was called to order by the President, all
members were present.
Messrs. Benson and Clark, on behalf of the State High-
way Department, appeared before the Council regarding
grade of Highway 100 betmeen West 70th Street and the
South Village limits. It was agreed the Highway
Department would proceed with excavation work pending grade releases by abutting property owners to the
Village of Edina.
Margaret Soderberg requested she be granted 3.2 non-
intoxicating malt beverage license for premises 4928
France Avenue, stating thet she had taken over the
restaurant formerly operated by Geo. Hanson, where-
upon it mas moved Blackburn that request be granted, seconded by Prescott, wherein vote being taken there
were five ayes and no nays and so the motion wa.s
adopted .
The Road and Village bills, upon being duly examined
and found correct were on motion Tillson they be
a.llomed and ordered mid, seconded bv Prescott and carried. They are a's foilows:

Apdication in form for building permit by Dr. R. F,

14, Brom Section CCD, 4638 Edgebrook Place, was on
mo,tion. Blackburn, be granted, seconded by Eoore and
carried.
It was moved Blackburn that the clean-up service deposit
be returned to Er. Gamble in connection vith nev building
erected at 4605 Casco Avenue, motion seconded by Uoore
and carried.
Apdication in form for building permit by Carl E. Haneon to build a private dwelling on 1ck14, block 3, South
Harriet Park, vas on motion Villson, be granted, seconded by Prescott and carried.
Application in form for building permit by 0. J. Pfeifer
to build a private dnelling on 26t 7, Theilens Brookside
Addition, at 4378 Theilen Avenue, vas on motion Prescott,
be granted, seconded by Blackburn and carried.
ADplication in form for building permit by E. Fortier to
bbild a private dwelling on 16t 8, block 3, Eendelssohn's Addition, vas on motion Prescott, be, granted, seconded
by Billson and carried.
Communication frou the Rurd Hennepin SERA regarding non-
residents on relief, vas read and discussed, whereupon it was rnoved Blackburn that Olaf Olson, formerly of Hazel
Run, Yellorr ijedicine County, and one Hetelsky, formerly of Minneapolis, be returned at the expense of the Village
of Edina, to the place from whence they came, and the
matter be referred to the Poor Committee for their atten-
tion. Eotion seconded by hfoore and carried.
Minutes of tne regular meeting of the Council held on Octooer 28, 1935, vere read, on motion Prescott they be
approved as read, seconded by Blackburn and carried.
No further businesa to come before the Council, motion to
adjollzn carried at 11:30 PM.
