Application of Minneapolis Gas Light Company for permission to install gas main 357 feet South of the South line of Ykst 54th., Street, on Wooddale Avenue and in"the alley of Block 16, was on motion Poore be granted subject to rights of private owners, seconded by Holten and carried. Nr C. S. Deaver, appeared to object to the grade of Tome8 Road as established &t 49th, Street, which mas referred to Chairman of J Foad & Bridge Comi'ttee to meet Kr -aver and Village Engineer , Bradley on the grounds. in the mar ftItUre* -- - Bresco%t and carried. -- - . Nr lrling Hostue, presented a peatfon signed ly hineeif,& lira Huston and Ma%le Wndahl, representing 50 percent of the property owners involved, to extend the road south from Interlacken Road and to condemn for the right of way, if necessary. aim, it was moved by Moore, that the matter be referred to Village Attorney Strong for report by next Council metlng if possible, aeconded by Prescott, and carried. After diacui- , Messrs Cove11, Aliiaon and Kaufznan, appeared before the Council with reference to petition to vacate that- part of Bridge Street, &ast ,of Arden Avenue. After discussion it-was moved by Hslten, that the Recorder be directed to publish in official newspaper of the Village and to post three notices of filing of petfition for vacation of that part of Bridge Street, East of Arden Avenue, aaconded by Noore and carped. Recorder Bdoore, offered the following Resolution and moved its adoption, Mr J. 3. Carroll, Consulting Engineer of the .Village of Edina, Baving filed with the CleSrk his tabulated statsmnt and ass- mnt roll showing the assessment against each lot, piece or parcel having deaignated July llth, 1938, at 8 PJLv as -the date of its regular meeting when it mill pass upon said asaessnent roll, Now, 'Sherefore, the Village Clerk be and he ie hereby authorized and directed to cause said assessment roll, togather with the time and place when the same will be considered and passed ppon by the \r Village Council, to be published pursuant to law. the motion to adopt the resolution was seconded by Trustee Willson, the roll called and there were five wes and no nays as follows: Prsacott aye, Holten aye , Willson aye, Sharpe aye and Moore aye, and 80 the resolution was declared dulymdopted. * ,+ of land within Sewer District go, 4 in said Village, and the CounciS Mr Carroll advised the Council with reference to his and Mr Bradley% appointrrient as joint sewer engineers for the main intersepting sewer, L, that all conditioner as outlined in the Recorder's letter dated June lfith, 1938, were satisfactory except that the inspection labor was ti% separate item and that the matter of establishing grades mere of necessity a part of the work involved and asked that the inspection item be deleted from the agreement which was satisfactory to all membars of the CouncilL.
