Ninutes of the recessed portion
of the regular A@$&t 12, 1940 meeting of the Council of the
Village of Edina, duly held in
Grange Hall on August 19, 1940
at 8:OO o'clock P, P.

The meeting mas called to order by the President and all members
of the Council were present.
The first matter to cme before the Caunci.1 was the pititian to
vacate a portion af Caoper Avenue, duly referred from previous meeting of the Cmmcil to, this meeting.
Interested parties to both sides were present together mith legal
Councfl. After much discussisn Village Attorney Holten suggested
that the original petition was not in order, whereupon all parties
ta the petition, with cansent of attorney Loegefil representing the petitioners, requested the petition be withdrawn, thereupon Trustee Willson moved the petition to vacate a portion of Cooper
Avenue be returned to the petitioners, seconded by Vyatt and carried.
Camunicaticrn was received from residents of West 50th Street and
Juanita Avenue protesting against use of vacant property in
neighborhoad being used far other than residential purpcpses,
After discussion the matter was referred to Village Attorney
EoPten for his attention.
No further business to come before the meeting motion to adjourn
carried at 11:OO P, BII,
