held in Grange Hall on November 12, -
1940, at 8:OO otclock P. H.
The President being absent, the meeting mas called to order by the
,9ecorder, the roll called and those present being Trustees S7illson,
& Y?yatt and 3ecorder Eoore.
It was moved 'by Moore that Trustee Villson serve as President Pro-
hem, s,econded by Tyatt and carried unaminously, Trustee Tillson
thereupon assumed the chair and directed the meeting.
The miscellaneous bills upon having been carefully noted and
found correct, it was moved Gyatt they be duly allowed and ordered
paid, seconded by hlloore and carried 'without, disenting vote. They

It was moved by Wyatt, that bills and accounts of Lateral Sewer
Diskrict No. 5, as represented by Recorder's ararrants numbered 1-3
and 4, be paid, seconded by Xoore and carried unaminouakJr,
It uas moved by Uifoore that bills and accounts of Lateral Sewer
District No. 6, as represented by Recorder's warrants numbered 1-2-4-
5-6-Rr, 7-8-and 9, be paid, seconded by Vyatt and carried without
discenting vote.

District No. 7, as represented by Recorders warrants 61 to 8Q both
jnclusive, be paid, seconded by Eoore and carried unaminously.
Chairman ',;illson reported on bids received for snow plov for i12
CaterQillar Xotor Grader and recommended that the law bid of 'br. H.
@egl.er Company be accepted .
Ifhereupon it was moved by Eoore that the bid of the d. H. Ziegler
Company be accepted and order anarded for IiVtt snow plow CC 2889.00
per bids and specifications, and that check of unsuccessful bidders
be returned, seconded by iiyatt and carried without disenting vote.

Application read to rezone Lat 20, Auditor's Sub. 3172 from open
development to Community Store District, whereupon it mas moved by
Moore the application be received and posted notice be given for
25, 1940, seconded by Vyatt and carried.
. hearing to be held at time of re'gular Council meeting on I?ovember
Recorder Xoore offered the following resolution and moved its
adopt ion: r
BE IT R%3OLVlD, by the Village.Counci1 of the Village of Edina,
Hennepin County, Einnesota, as follows :
1.
purpose, has, viith the assistance of Alex Creighton calculated the
proper amounts to be specially assessed as supplementary assessments
for the construction of sewers in Joint Jemer District Eo. 1 of said
Village against every assessavle lot, piece or parcel of land here-
after specifically described uithin said Joint Sevier District Eo. 1
in accordance Lyith the provisions of law, and has prepared and filed
with the Village Clerk tabulated statements in duplicate, shoving
the proper description of each and every lot, piece or garcel of 'land
to be specially assessed and the amount calculated against the same.
2. Xotice has been duly published, as required by law, that this
Council iiould meet:in regular session at this time and place to
pass on the proposed supplementary assessment.
The engineer heretofore duly selected by this Council for suchh. .
3. Said proposed supplementary assessment has, at all times since
its filing, been open to inspection and copying by all persons
interested and the opportunity has been given to all interested
persona to present their objections, if any, to such proposed
supplementary assessment, or to any item thereof , and no obj'ections
have been filed .
4. This Council finds that each of the lots, pieces or parcels of
land enumerated in- said proposed supplementary assessment which

Lots eighteen (18) to thirty eight (38) both inclusive, Golo-nial
Grove Second Addition to the Village of Edina,
Lots one (I) to eight (€3) both inclusive, Edina Court, an
Addition to the Village of Edina,

in Joint Sever District No. 1, in the amount in said proposed assess-
Pnent set oppoaite the description of each such lot, piece or parcel
of land respectively, and that said amount so set out is hereby
livied against each of the respective lots, pieces or parcels of

and confirmed, and the sums fixed and named in said progosed assess-
ment are affirmed, adopted and confirmed as the proper special
supplementary assessment for each 09 said lots, pieces or parcels
of land respectively.
That such proposed supplementary assessment is affirmed, adapted,

confirmed shall be certified to by the Village Clerk and filed in his
ofzice and shall thereupon he and constitute the special assessment
for the construction of sewers in Joint Sewer District Uo. 1, that
the amount assessed against each lot, piece or parcel of land shall
bear interest from the date hereof until same has been paid, at
the rate of five per cent (5$0 per annum.

Yo That such supplementary assessment shall be payable in niae
(9) equal annual installments, payable on the 1st day of June in
each year, beginning in the year 1941, and continuing until all of
the said installments shall have been paid, each installment to be
collected mith taxes collectable during said year by the CouQ.tY

8, That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to make up and file in the office of the County Auditor of Hennepin County, a certi€ied
statement of the amount of all of such unpaid Supplementary
assessments, and the amount which mill be due thereon, on the last
d%y of June in each year.
The aotion to adopt vvas seconded by Trustee j'Jyatt, and the vote
r.as upon the question of the adoption of the resolution, wherein
there Nere three ayes and no nays, and so the resolution mas adopted,

Chairman Willson reported on investigation and tabulation of bids
received for 3 ton truck. After discussion of the condition of
Village owned Dodge truck and the necessity for a heavy duty truck
for snow plowing of unusually heavy snow fall existing at the present
time it mas moved by Xoore that subject to immediate delivery,
that the bid of the International Harvester Company be accepted
and order avarded for one DR-50 International Truck with Heil Kfodel -
11 dump body and Heil No. 4 twin cylinder hydraulic hoist complete
aa per specification Q $3507.76, less trade in allowance of Village
owned 1957 Dodge 'Truck, motor T42-1309, net .$2592.00, and. checks 6f
unsuccessful bidders returned, seconded by Vyatt and carried
t unarninous ly .
It was moved by Eoore that check be drawn on Lateral Sewer District
110. 2, in favor of General Bund, in amount of ?8590.00 in full for
temporary loans from General Pund to Lateral Sewer: District So. 7$

seconded by Vyatt and carried unaminously. ,.
Eo further 'gusiness to come before the meeting at this time, the
President ProETem declared the meeting recessed to meet again at
the same time and place at the call of the President, for the pur-
pose of audiking &he books and accounts of the Yillage Treasurer
and Village Recorder for the period of Bovember 15, 1939 to Uovember
15, 1940.
