the regular November 12, 1940,
meeting of the Council, af the
Village of Edina, duly held on
Xovember 22, 1940, in Qrange Hall
at 8:OO o'clock p.m.
The meeting was called to order by the Fresident, the roll called and all members of the Council were present, as ne11 as Village - Tre2su.rer Du.ggan and '?illage Attorney Holten.
The meeting having been called for the prpose of auditin,: the books
and accounts of the Treasurer and 3ecorder for the period November
15, 19Z9 to Bovember 1F, 1940. 1
The Recorder presented the annual dinancila Statement for the proceeding
iisclzl year from Bovember 15, 1939 to November 15, 1940. Jhich was
studied and discussed and wherein it nas shown by figures of the
2xavaincr's ofrice, the cash in General dund at beginnin@ of fiscal
&'ear was )8820.95, overage from previous years $380.70, receipts being >110,380.91. Total General dund receipts $119,582.69-, :Total disburse-
ments were ,)111,687.47, leaving cash balance in General Sund of

u7,8dS.22.
There being no unpaid Village warrants or General Village obligations
outstandin,, whereuyon Trustee Irgens movedp .that the books and
records of the Village Recorder &Village Treasurer having been found
correct for geriod November 15, 1939 to Eovember 15, 1940, that the
same be accepted and signed and that 200 copies be prepared for public
posting and general distribution according to law. The motion vas
seconded by Yillson and the' roll upon heing called found four ayes
and no nays, the Recorder not voting and thereupon duly declared
adopted .
E'etition was received from Douglas Rees ta rezone Lots 1,2,3,15,16,&
17, Block 7, Tingdale Brothers Brookside Addition to permit proposed
construction of a filling station, Thereupon WiLlson moved the petition
be accepted and posted notice for hearing to be given on December 9,
1940, seconded by Moore and carried.
The matter od cost for legal services for Lateral Sewer Districts no.
5,6, and 7, VJZS considered by the Council. After some discussion it
ivas moved by Villson, the matter be referred to. Sanitation Committee
for study and recommendation, seconded by Irgens and carried.
No further business to come before the meeting motion to adjourn
carried at 11:45 p.m.
