The meeting was called to arda by the President, the roll called and all members of'the Cauncil were present. The matter of considering award for contract to hsEa3.1 sanitary sewers in Sewer District No. 9, duly referred to this meeting, first came before the Council, &ter study and discussion Trustee Willson moved the contract be awarded to Ulderico mriani, the lawest bidder 0 $36,048.52, seconded by Wyatt , Trustee Irgens thereupon moved to amend the motion by adding thereto "Subject to sale of Sewer District Ha. 9 warrants at a date not later than September 22, 1941: seconded by Moore, The vote being -on the question of the adoption of the anmendment, those voting in favor thereof being Irgens and Ncmre, those voting not being Willson, Wyatt and Westerberg, whereupon the President declared the ammendment lost, The original motion now being before the (huncil, Trustee . v\rillson offered the following resolution, WHEREAS, pursuant to advertisement for bids published in the Hennepin County Review and Improvement Bulletin once each week for three succ'essive weeks, bids have been received for construction of sanitary sewers in Sewer District Bo. 9, according to plans and specifications prepared by B. H. Bradley and filed in %he office of the Village Recorder on August 1, 1941, and, TIHEREAS, pursuant to supplemental plans and specifications prepared. by B, H. Bradley, heretofore filed in the office of the Village Recorder, which are hereby approved and accepted and relate to the construction of a lateral sewer, commencing at a point in the center line of Lakeview Drive, which is 358 feet west of the center line of Cancord Avenue, and 200 feet north of the extension westerly of the center line of West 56th Street; thence west along the center line of Lakeview Drive, a distance of 355 feet; and allatera1 sewer canurrencing in the center line of Lakeview Drive, which is 675 feet east of the east line of State Highway Ha, 100, and 225 feet north of the extension westerly of the center line of '@est 56th Street; thence south and parallel with State Highway No. LOO, a distance of 800 feet; thence west 350 feet; thence north and parallel with State Highway No. 100, a distance of 490 feet, bids have been received for the construction of sanitary sewers in the two bids for said two and the s<me have responsibility of investigated ; no)w lateral districts last named, and the" projects were by each bidder consolidated been duly aipened and considered, and the the respective Bidders has been duly therefore , BE IT ZIESOLJIZD BY th e Village CaunctiE of the Village af Edina that the bid af Ulderico Xariani is hereby detaermined to be the bid of the lajwest responsible bidder, and the l2esiden-b and the Clerk of the Village are hereby authorized and directed ta enter into a contract with said Ulderico Tiarianip in the name of the Village, far the construction of said sewer, according ta the plans and specifications therefor, which have been heretofore approved by the Village Council and filed in the sffice of the Village Clerk at a total cantract price of $36,048.52, as specified in said bid, and, 228 BE IT R3SOLV?3D, that the Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposit made Bit11 their bids, except that the deposit of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until the contract has been signed. The mo-ticrn to adopt was seconded by Trustee 't'iyatt, and the vote mas upon the question of the adoption of the resolution, wherein there Bere five ayes and no nays and so the resolution vas adopted, ATTEST : .
