E. The meeting was called to order By the President, the roll called and all members of the Council vere present. Trustee 'Jlillson reported on tabulation of bids received December 8, 1941, for catch basins covers and manhole rings and covers, He moved the award be made to American Brake Shoe and Poundry Company, lowest bidder, @ $16 each for manhole rings and covers and delivered f.0.b. job site, seconded by Moore and carried. Trustee Ylillson moved to accept the l~m bid of ElkRiver Concrete Products Company, on 840 lineal feet 24" reinforced concrete pipe 0 ,;1.68 per lineal foot, deliTered f.o.b, job site, seconded by Noore and carried, $17 each for curb type catch basins complete mith 2%" tops 9 Trustee ilillson aoved the H, V. Johnson Culvert Company be awarded order for 200 feet 30It pure iron , 14 gauge, double dipped bit- u..inous coated corrugated culvert @ $3.30 per foot and 8 connectin& bands 0 ,$4.95 each, and checks of unsuccessful bidders returned, seconded by Irgens and carried. Village Attorney Holten presented letter of Empire Bationat Bank and Trust Company, St. Paul, Einnesota, dated December 12, 1921, enclosing assignment of Ulderico Xariani of monies due on account 0% construction of sanitary sewers in District Eo. 9, after consideration of the letter, Irgens offered the following resolution and moved its adoption, 'YYJB3REAS, The Village Attorney submitted to the Council assignment of the moneys due under contract between the Village of Edina and Ulderico Nariani, dated September 18, 1941, for construction of sewer in Sewer Bistrict Bo. 9, said assignment running to Empire Fational Bank and Trust Company of St. Paul; whereupon Trustee Irgens offered the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLVXD, that the assignment aforesaid be and hereby is accepted, and the Village hereby acknowledges that there is due upon said contract the surn of 814,589.21, as of December 15, 1941, payable solely out of special assessments levied against benefited property within said district . The motion to adopt mas seconded by Trustee Willson and the vote was upon the question of the adoption of the resolutiorl, wherein there nere five ayes and no nays and so the resolution was declared adopted. President of Council " Village Clerk Application of Uinneapolis Gas Light Company for permission to lay 100 feet 4" gas main in and along Ninnehaha Blvd, 100 feet South of South line 'Zest 52nd Street, was on motion Eoore, be granted, seconded by Irgens and carried.
