The meeting was called to order by the President, the roll called .and all members of the Council ivere present. Einutes of the regular meeting of the Council held on Earch 9, 1942, gere read. On motion Gebo they be approved as read, seconded by Vyatt and carried. The Village pay roll advances vere carefully noted and upan being found correct were on motion Willson, they be duly allorred and ' ordered paid, seconded by Vyatt and carried. I 15 was moved by Sillson, that bills and accounts of Sewer District 130. 8, having been found correct, that the same be duly alloaed and ordered paid as covered by Becorder's warrants numbered 165 to 193, both inclusive, seconded by Vyatt and carried. It nas moved by Yyatt that bill of Ers. Rudolph 'Jesterberg and associates in amount $20.00, for serving approximately 42 meals at lunch and dinner to Selective Service Volunteer Registrars on February 16, 1942, be duly allowed and paid from The Crier B1undrrt seconded by S'lillson and carried. A getition mas received with 15 signers, requesting that constructian Vork on Sever District No, 8, be stopped, After discussion, Lloore Poore moved to refer the matter to Village Engineer and Sever Committee, seconded Villsm and carried. Eessrs Prouse, Jackson 8 Lingelfelten, advised the condition of Kellogg Ave. betveen 55th and 56th Streets, vhich vas referred to Road and Bridge Committee. 23. F'I. J. Smith, requested that residents, whose property mould be improved nith Curb and Gutter, be advised of the cost of same I before the nork was started. The matter of opening up and grading the so called Demey Hill Raad uppn and along the East and Vest quarter line Section 8, Tomnship 116, Range 21, from Horthwest corner northnest quarter sf SEa of Section E! to Test line of said Section, vias discussed, i'hereupon Sillson moved that bids be taken for the work, the costs to be assessed against the benefited property, seconded by kare and * carried. J Letter by Er, hnfek, dated Earch 18, 1942, advised the condition of Interlachen Road and was referred to Road and Bridge Committee. Approximately 20 residents of South Harriet Park were present to protest against a deep vell, pump and pump house being located in their neighborhood, advising that deed restrictions prohibited such. After considerable discussion the matter vas left vith Er, Gaarden, to arrange a meeting aith I&. Brorrnell of the State Board of Health and wherein members of the Council vould attend and all nould view the proposed locations. I&. Gene Cooper requested permit to move anLold building which he intended to convert for living quarters. After discussion and it being understood that any such building would be brought up to a first class and sanitary standard, "lyatt moved to advise Building Inspector Creighton, of Council's Consent to issuance of a moving permit under present Building Ordinance and under conditions to be arranged by the Building Inspector, seconded Moore and carried. Treasurer Duggan presented paid varrants in amount $4600,00 and gaid interest coupons in amount $1240.00, applying on the several sewer districts ghich were placed in the Village safe, After discussion of the sanitary problems, hustee Zlyatt maved that' the Village Attorney serve notice under recently adopted ordinance, 55 an John Garrison, to install inside toilet on premises Lot 4, Block 13, South Harriet Park, seconded by i7fllson and carried. Check in amount $l9.00 was received from Dixie Insurance Company, . in payment for repairs and replacing 2 windows and 1 door glass to Police car. President Sharpe presented for file, seqeral recommendationd from former employers concerning Phil S. Smith. Application by Northern States Poiver Company to set one pole on Drew Avenue and li'uller Street and one.pole on Tawnes Raad South af Sunnyside, was on motion Tillson be granted, seconded by &i.aare and carried. After discussion Wllson moved that the charges for storing three school buses in Tool House beginning as of Bebruary 1, 1942, 'be at the rate of $30.00 per month, without heat and on a month to month basis, seconded by Vyatt and carried.
